But waiting is not going to resolve the issue. As of what i read in other thread, the paypal issue is going to continue for very long time until it abides by the RBI laws.

How can there be absolutely no option other than paypal for us? isn't Xoom working well for anyone??

Once for all withdraw big amount that will help you for 2-3 months via xoom. As other suggested by other never try stunt's when you know the road ahead has potholes, u'l end up damaging your car. :D

Reverse for me :D As soon as the money lands into my Bank account, I spend it (rather, I waste it)

For me, it's safe in Paypal (subject to condition that PP doesn't do anything against their reputation)

i checked my pp and it shows $1600 remaining. It takes into account of previous 1 month cycle. i believe nobody had withdrawn in Feb 2010 and it gets reset somewhere in the 2nd week of every month.

Yes the cheque limits don't reset exactly on the 1st of every month.

I have been dealing in cheques from last 5 years.

Even after the bank transfers started I still stuck to the cheque option.

I don't know why but my accountant told me to stick with cheque option and it helps to keep paperwork streamlined when filing the taxes.

Ok how long you need to wait for that check at your doorstep now a day ??

@olddocks - There is no any issue related to clearing of that check (regular clearing 2-3 days) but problem is you need to wait for a long to receive that check from paypal as they are sending it through normal air mail. :(

    DON.

It takes atleast 15-20 days to arrive excluding holidays, since pp uses ordinary post to send. Quite often, i have seen that it has taken a month to get the check.

My suggestion is to keep away from cheque option. If the cheque withdrawl is rejected by bank officials for some reason then you will loose the money as paypal doesnt take guarantee of 'sent' cheques.

very true!. There is no guarantee that check will reach you on the way. For me there is no difference between check and bank withdrawal considering the funds are same from paypal.
