Contest Logo for Website - $50 for first place - also $5 for 2nd and $5 for 3rd place

    Hello,

I am looking for a logo design for a new website. I would like a very professional design, with custom work (not some standard template or logo program), and most important: CREATIVITY

The text of the logo should be:

So you get a sense for what this site will be (and there is no site now just starting with the logo) - I am looking to develop a delivery service where people help deliver for other people...so therefore I used the word MOB because it means basically "a larger group of people"... You can see more definitions if you like to see how this word might help in the design.

But people will be delivering everything (from stores and restaurants) and they will do different ways such as by car, bicycle, walking, etc. - so it is NOT easy to just use one icon or image, like a car for example, because this is not true of all delivery situations. So maybe instead some other visual image or creative thing about "movement" or "deliveries" etc...

I also don't know yet the color scheme for the site - so you have freedom to choose

Maybe something that represents "a large group of people" somehow also...

But you can please use your imagination and creativity on everything - including colors. But some logo that looks more "serious" not 'playful' or anything like that. A strong image.

    -------------------------------------------

I will pay everything via PayPal

    $50 goes to the winner

I will also pay the 2nd place and 3rd place participants that I choose, $5 each - and you will not have to send me the logo since I will only be using the winners - it will only be to at least somehow compensate you for your time

The contest will end ONE WEEK from today - so on Thursday of next week. I want to leave time for many people to participate and I want to make sure that I get something that I really like

    Thanks!

No clipart please. All has to be vector-based also. You could incorporate some stock vector images if you like...but I would prefer custom work. I'm open to taking a look at everything though.

Thank you all for the great work and for getting the contest started. I appreciate your participation. Here are my comments on them so far - I am on purpose misspelling the word De1ivery and M0b so that it is not easily search indexed...thanks for understanding :)

tickey - thank you for both of your submissions. Of the two, I like the first one a bit better with the ball in the center - although no ball at all might be necessary. I do prefer symmetry though so I like it more in the center if anything. While I like where you are going with the idea and your creativity with using the hands as a concept of "interconnectedness" and many people...to me the hands are a bit "scary" looking. They are elongated and just floating like that - they look somewhat like the hands of ghosts. I don't think they best represent a "strong" image because they are so soft. The colors I like better with the gray and red from the second one. But maybe the font could also be stronger and more firm. Thanks!

cyz12 - good first start. I do like your idea with using the people for the "m0b" effect. I believe that's a stock image since I've seen that before...but it might be ok if it can fit in well. But overall, the logo gives of a "weak" feeling. The proportions are off with the different font sizes and the "de1ivery" being italicized. I'm not sure that I like the combination of that type of orange and black. I would also like the font sizes to be closer to the same. But then the "dots" by the D on De1ivery are nice - they represent some good movement. So I think it's a good start!

Nivedhithan - I really like yours. It's simple, clean, and looks rather professional. I like the colors too. But maybe some work on the sizing. The image/art on top seems so separated from the text. Also, maybe the font can be made stronger. It's a bit thin - although I do still like the font style overall...maybe you can see what you can come up with for variations of it. Then also maybe just to compare how you could fit in the image on top a bit more to make it integrated into the overall logo with the font/text as well. Like I mentioned, it seems rather separate now. But overall I would say it's among the top right now.

imhawk - you have an interesting size combination with the two words. It might be interesting to keep those proportions or something similar. As for colors, I like best the orange and black - but maybe switch the colors so that the De1ivery is orange. Also, maybe trying some other font style on "De1ivery" so that it is not that much more thinner than the "M0b". As for the circle on the O in M0b...I would have to say that it looks like a car tire...so maybe we could work with that a bit more. Thanks for the efforts.

christ4404 - very nice! This is the most creativity so far. I like the combination of more artwork than just font and text alone. It's a good one to add to the mix. I am thinking that maybe playing with the font would be interesting to see. I like that the D is next to those lines, so it looks like there is "movement" but then the D is italicized and the rest of the word is not, so it looks a bit detached. Maybe italicize it all? Maybe also making the word "M0b" bigger than the font size for De1ivery - it could also take up more space and add some strength to the people/m0b component. I like it for sure - the only thought I am having right now is that I am considering if the box is the best representation because not everything of course that will be de1ivered will be in a box...but I also can't think of the best visual so this is the most creative one I have seen!

masjacky - looks like you posted yours while I was writing that above response. Nice new elements and creativity as well! I like the Web 2.0 look and feel to it. I also like the colors. That arrow is great - but the font style does not represent the "strong" image that I would like to have for the company. The "De1ivery" could be OK because it is all capital letters and stronger...but maybe still thin - and also maybe spaced apart too far for the letters. The "m0b" looks clean and elegant, but maybe the all lowercase just is somewhat too soft - and also thin as well...I hope that makes sense. But very good first version!
