I got a new job that is 12 hr swing shift with constant overtime and I'm not able to keep up my sites to the way I would like them upkept. So, I am getting rid of all of my domains and checking out of the internet business for the time being.

    Up for auction/sale are the following sites - http://failfun.com, http://dailyfailblog.com, http://dailybloglist.com, http://dailyfailblog.org, http://dailycuteblog.com, http://techxa.com, http://lowfixedcreditcard.com, http://iPadComp.com, and http://dailyinvestorsblog.com

The story of failfun.com can be found here - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1673436
Pretty much what happened was failblog.org trademarked FAIL BLOG and my site dailyfailblog.com infringed on that trademark. My site is a PR5, and I worked out a deal to keep the domains, but shut down that site and forward it to failfun.com, which I purchased when everything happened. I have gotten most of (about 90%) the links changed to my new site, so there should still be good PR in the next update.

The only other site that gets decent traffic is http://dailycuteblog.com which sees huge spikes of traffic on occasions from social bookmarking sites. This site actually does very well on advertising (sometimes better than failfun.com which gets more visitors). I also have failfun.com listed on adengage.com for ads and when I had it set low I was making about another $1.00/day for 125 ads.

Any questions can be asked in here or via PM and will be responded to as promptly as I can. Fair offers will be considered outside of this auction if I can get an amount I consider fair.

Winner will receive all domains as well as sites (including any extra pictures that may be affiliated with those sites - I currently have 437 pics for fail, 110 for cute), Twitter accounts (failfun has 2261 followers) for all sites are set up. Any other miscellaneous sites that this site may be a part of as well.

It redirects to failfun.com, which is the other site that comes with it (as well as dailyfailblog.org)

You get all of the sites if you bid here. Or you can make an offer for just one site (it would have to be more than the $500 listed here though) The sites that aren't failfun.com or the dfb's, I don't really consider to be worth much. Most of the value in this auction comes from the fail sites and possibly some in dailycuteblog.com

oh sorry I didn't explain well enough I guess... dailyfailblog.com is now failfun.com

Due to trademark issues with failblog.org I had to make the new site(failfun.com). You will get all 3 fail sites, but only failfun.com will have a site associated with it. If you purchase the lot and wish to use dailyfailblog.com (I urge you not to do this), I can't exactly stop you but failblog.org may. failfun.com is what dailyfailblog.com used to look like (all i did was change the internal linkage, put up a new header image, and changed the names of the twitter accounts and facebook profile)

Site has recently been getting 8+ pages per visit on the site as well as avg time on site at or above 10 minutes

Winner will need to pay by paypal ( +paypal fees) within 48 hours of auction ending. At that time I will negotiate how you would like to transfer the site.

    Where are the visitors from?

Will you accept escrow.com or something similar if the buyer pays the fees?

Who puts the content on the sites, and how much time and money do you spend on it each month?

It's actually a pretty good split on traffic 35% SE traffic, 35% direct, and 30% referring sites (Twitter, facebook, and google images, social bookmarking sites)

I would agree to escrow.com services not a problem.

I usually post roughly 4 new posts (jokes, pictures, and videos). I also have a plugin that brings up old posts to the front page to look like more posts are made. Posting only takes about 2-5 min per post. Discovery of new content is a wide variety of sources. A peruse a few sites that regularly post new content as well as watching online shows like around the net which posts funny videos.

Most of my time was spent tweaking the theme of the site and trying to add new features. Since this is the first time diving into websites I had to learn HTML, css, and wordpress.

    Any other questions are appreciated.

Forgot to say how much I spend... Right now I'm on godaddys shared hosting paying a month a time for $6.99. It does pull a bit of bandwidth. I think it was 200 or so GB the last month I checked. You could pry speed up the site by hosting the images with amazons s3 service at a minimal amount of money.

I meant to ask what countries the visitors are from, though the information you provided was also helpful. Sorry for the confusion.

No problem... Most traffic is US (55-60%), then UK, then Canada, then Australia/New Zealand

I don't have exact numbers here at work but I can get them when I get home before the auction ends. I don't think the smaller countries are more than 5-10% of total traffic

Ya I wouldn't mind adding stuff as I find it on the web. I go to plenty of sites that aggregate content from elsewhere. I typically find pictures on a site and if they have watermarks I'll search for an unedited version of that pic (because 9999 times out of 10000 it's somewhere else out there). I get about 2-3 submissions a day via the contact form on the site as well.

I have never been contacted about infringement on the site (besides failblog.org). And I would think the readily available pictures on the net would constitute fair use. But I would take down anything someone may have something against their picture being up.

Well I was only slightly off on my guesstimates for traffic -

    US - 58.78%
    Canada - 8.44%
    UK - 8.39%
    Australia + New Zealand - 3.46%
    Germany - 2.34%
    Netherlands - 1.10%
    Sweden - 0.95%

    All the rest - 17.27%
