What is pixel submission in SEO?

I want to know about pixel submission in SEO..

I suppose it is something related to buying pixels from specific sites and submitting ads or backlinks from that sites.

I am note sure about this, but the name sounds familiar.

There are some pixel submission sites like general directories (we regularly use).. where we have to submit our site details.

Yes, this sound even new to me....i have never some across such a key phrase any time before. I think if all of us do keep some light on it then we could definitely find the answer ..

Just goes to show - age matters. I'm old enough to remember when those pixel sites were all the rage - havn't seen one for about 5 years, probably more. One of those ideas that people set up to cash in, that dies a death a few months later - like the million dollar page fad from a couple of years ago.

That's why I m not getting more information about this bcoz this is quiet an old techniques in SEO which was previously used.

When you google the name of one of my clients, it show's the CEO drinking shots with some girls(he's married now), and we successfully got that image de-indexed.
