Nothing you can do on your blog to get PR. PageRank is just the result of a formula which calculates number and quality (the PR) of links.

So if you want PR, you need links. Having a quality blog will help to get links of course.

A good pr comes with consistent efforts, quality inbound links, good and updated content and a lot of patience.

You can have PR with just one word on your page, content is not a necessity but it helps in getting links.

very first thing you need to wait some months to get pr.
Then get some backlinks from higher ranked website.
Put your sites in forum signature. Thats a great idea to get pr also.

I would suggest concentrate on increasing incoming links to your blog.... particularly in blogosphere , link exchange works a lot. Exchange links with other bloggers and remember one thing, the other bloggers will never link you if you dont have original and quality content. SO have original link exchange and ask other bloggers for link exchange. As your number of incoming links increase .. . your blog will have PR next update

If you are looking for PR for your blog, the first step is to be sure your blog is set up to be spider friendly, subscribes to an update service, and is frequently updated. Then, get it listed on blog directory sites like Technorati. Afterwards, Link Love is necessary. You can get Link Love by using social bookmarking sites and getting people to link to your blog or just creating compelling posts that people want to link to. Another method is to create more than one blog to buzz about one another, but that is a complex strategy involving several hours of weekly work.

Submit your blog to blog submission websites.
Link exchange with other sites if necessary.

you must do not get a page rank . page rank is a serach engine factor which calculates number and quality (the PR) of links.

if you you want to get good page rank , you must find links to your site.

Just to give you a clue on this PR thing:

PR of your page depends on the following factors:

    1. Which Websites link to you.
    2. The number of websites linking to you.
    3. The Google Page Rank of the website linking to you.
    4. The page title of the website linking to you.
    5. The anchor text used in the link linking to you.
    6. The number and type of links linking to the website that's linking to you.
    7. The number of outbound links on the website that is linking to you.
    8. The totla number of links on the website that is linking to you.
    9. Whether or not the website linking to you are deemed by google as an authority website.
    10. The IP Address of the websites linking to you.

Hope you can get some clue.
    Cheers.

The only thing that influences a pages PR is the PR of the pages that link to it. Nothing else.
