Does It Hurt To Link To Two Different Pages From Same Article

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by lyndatreb, Jan 28, 2010.

I have a blog (my first) and I'm working on building backlinks with articles. I understand that it's good to build links to both the home page and also the individual posts.

Within the same article, when I only have two links to work with, such as Ezine Articles, is there anything wrong with sending one link to the blog post and the other to the home page? Will I get the benefit of both links?

    Thanks.

Yes, you will get the benefit of both links, since each link goes to a different page.

The only way the benefit would diminish is if you have two links on the same domain to the same page.

There is no problem if you are getting two different links from same article. This will not affect you much as this help you to get link juice. But to increase the power of that link juice, make sure that you submit that article website page, where your article is posted, to some social bookmarking websites.

This will help you get PR increase in future.

is it for seo or traffic? if you are trying to get rankings for the article page to generate traffic, then you should link to the landing page so more people land on the money page.

true, i think its best having the landing page link the first link to encourage the most clicks.

As long as they are both of your sites, then yes.
