Do you believe that Google will release a Disk Operating System at some point? (Google Operating System). There have been numerous rumors but, none of them confirmed yet...I think if they DO release an operating system and make if available for free, Microsoft will be in a real trouble (or not..?)
I can see it now, everything you type will show up in the index. Just what everyone wants from a "personal" computer. :/
I think that this is more than probable. What surprises me is that they’re taking so long. I think they will have their own Pc, Browser and Os that will work more like a terminal.
LOL I Agree with you I am waiting for Windows Vista for ages If google will release it i am sure it will beat vista Saad
They already hired one of the lead devs for Linux, so yes they probably will release their own distro of Linux which will probably be similar to a thin-client, using Google's datacenters for all the actual work. Or I could be wrong.
I wonder if it's going to be free or not...If it's free then how are they going to make money from it? What would be the benefits? If they'll have everything on their servers as predicted how are they going to compensate those expenses?
Think about it, in today's world of buy up what you can before the other guy. What would stop "G" from trying to impart some worthy competition to Mr gates and the others? They would have nothing to lose.
So, we will have ads on the Desktop and stuff..? may be in the Start menu.. I'll stick with MS Windows in that case...
So, we will have ads running on Desktop and stuff...? May be a few text ads in Start Menu..? I'll stick with MS Windows in that case... EDIT: Sorry for the duplicate post
I'm sure the ads would only be when using the actual Google services, and the people who use gmail right now don't seem too bothered by ads. Even if the ads were on the desktop (which they never would be), I'd take stability over Windows.
I dont think they will place ads on opreating system but maybe cheap price like 40$ per copy and 20$ per copy for dp members
If they don't charge for all the great stuff they offer now (including analytics, and everything else), there's 0 chance they'll charge for a Google version of Linux, which is already free.
Google would get money from selling information. Where you buy online, what programs you use, what sites you visit, how many emails you receive and from who, what browser you use, what Pc make you own, interconnection speed, the list goes on. Information is one of the most valuable things someone can own.
