High traffic eCommerce site with lots of customization

    BACKGROUND
    Halloween Express has a strong brick and mortar presence with 150+ retail locations nationwide. The industry focus is in costumes (Halloween, seasonal, etc).

    ENVIRONMENT AND PLATFORM
    HEX is osCommerce based and is served from a LAMP cluster of ~20 nodes.

    AREAS OF ATTENTION
    • General site SEO
    • Performance and responsiveness
    • User experience (is it too busy?)
    • Ease of client use
    • Aesthetic appeal

    I read this yesterday and thought you had it up for sale. :eek:

    Now I notice it's "just a review".

    Only comment would be that it scrolls a bit far down. All the research I've read says 80% of people surfing don't look beyond the fold. The rest would be a waste of effort and bandwidth.

    One of the nicest oscommerce site, i know those banners are important but it makes site looks cluttered. Are you using categories and sub module just curious?
