Strange Results on Google UK

    I've spotted something on Google UK.

    If you input a 2+ word search term, spelt in UK English, where one of the words has a different spelling in US English (ie Search Engine Optimisation), the SERPs default to the US spelling.

    Research here: Is Google "Correcting" UK English Spelling?

    Does anyone know if there's a reason for this?
