The site ranks very well for a number of myspace related keywords in a few of the SE's, and is where most of it's traffic (other then type ins) comes from. All links will remain intact after the sale. I run this site with a number of other proxies on a dual core dual dempsey server. It takes up about 15% of the server resources on average per day, and the server costs me $300 per month from Softlayer, so you can calculate hosting costs (15% of $300 = $45). I spend zero dollars and zero time promoting this site. Everything is word of mouth / SE placements. I do not normally spend anytime doing anything to this site. It could use some on page optimization for adsense ads (it gets about 500 adsense clicks per day, and with better on page keywords they earnings per click can go up).

The site uses two types of proxies. One is CGI Proxy (the original, so I could be listed on Proxy.org), as well as a modified version of PHProxy, which prevents hotlinking, and saves considerable bandwidth and server resources (even with the CGI Proxy still running, since I installed this proxy on the main page the resource usage has dropped more then 50% on this site). Disabling CGI proxy would save considerable resources, but you would loose some of the traffic hitting adversal / adbrite / all others except adsense.

I'm selling the site to fund another project I'm starting for link sales, to be announced here when it's finished :)

Starting Bid (Approx 6 Months Revenue): $6600
BIN (Approx 9 Months Revenue): $10,000

Auction End Time: 72 Hours from the time of this post, or when a satisfactory offer has been made.

I reserve the right to sell the site to someone other then the highest bidder if the high bidder has poor feedback or cannot be reached for whatever reason, or if a satisfactory bid is not recieved. Please just stay in touch and do not bid if you only have negitive feedback.

ALL payments to be conducted through Escrow.com for everyones safety. I will split the fee's with the buyer.

If you have questions, please feel free to IM me on AIM: ibold12

Starting bid is most definitely reasonable based on current performance, I'd bid myself if I had the funds - good luck with the sale!

Looks like October is going to be a $1.5K+ month, so the $6.6K starting bid is more like 4 months of revenue, an interesting starting bid indeed.

I don't agree with the $45 estimate when it comes to hosting costs, as dividing a dedicated server like that isn't real - for $45 you're not going
to get a VPS solution that's worth 1/7th of your dedicated server, but rather more like 1/20 or so (maybe). A more realistic estimate would be
$80 for a simple dedicated celeron server, which still puts net profit for October at around $1.5K or more, a nice deal indeed ;)

I just took the average of the last few months, instead of just the last month. I figured this was a more fair way to estimate earnings. Thanks for the good wishes :)

Even with the added hosting costs, I think that my lowered esitmates for earnings makes up for this (as you pointed out at the end). Hosting costs will honestly depend on the scale of your business (just as with mine). If you run a number of proxies you can easily get the costs down (like mine). If it's just this one proxy, it'll cost you a little bit more.

blah lol. Forgot about that at the bottom. I'll get around to editing that tonight. Hope the Google god's will forgive me!

    Thanks.

I forgot to mention above that I have on a few occasions sold links on the site for $15 / month. With PR4 and the traffic that this site recieves, you can easily monetize this portion as well. All of the links currently on the site are my own, and can be removed by the new owner if they would like.

It is only a violation of their TOS to display adsense ads on PROXIED pages. The adsense is only on the index page of this site, I use adbrite / CJ / Azoogle ads for the proxied pages. This site is completely compliant with Googles TOS.

I previously rotated them on the proxied pages, this month I have just been running AzoogleAds because of success with them on another proxy. That is why next to each of the advertisers I have a time frame (the 5 months next to CJ and Adbrite represent how long it took me to reach the amount I earned, and how long I ran their ads for).

I used PHPadsNew to rotate the ads, but with all of my proxies making calls to phpAdsNew caused a high amount of un-necessary server load.

    This also reminds me:
I used to GeoTarget ads with YPN / Adsense back in June. I ran the rotated ads from June 9 thru July 14th, and have posted the screenshots with the rest of them:

    http://www.schoolboredom.com/sale/ypn.jpg

The total earnings from YPN were not doing as well as adsense, that's why I switched back. For the period of about a month, I made $321.02 with this website geo-targeting YPN ads. Thanks for reminding me!

The software was purchased from a member here on DP. Yes, you get a license to use the script on the domain name.
