How do you verify amount of links if you paid for the service?

I wonder, how I can verify if my site was indeed sent to 300 directories? I paid someone here for placing 300 links to free directories, received 85 submission confirmation (not listings, but confirmation about receiving my info), but not from 300.
I asked him for the list, he doesn't want to share because of the privacy issue or something.

A few submitters here send the client a report with the list of directories where the site was submitted to.
And a few directories dont ask for EMail so u dont recieve confirmation also.

I've been cheated a few times by Directory Vault. They say they do hand submission but when I was sent the report is was auto submissions by a computer program.

I recieved 100 confirmations out of a 500 and the timestamp was 5 seconds after each other.

Hi, I have seen that directories that carry the free version of PHPLD v2 do not send a email I see that that is the most widely used script.

I have done 50 submissions for my own personal sites and have recieved 7 confirmation emails so dont be surprised if you dont recieve many emails.

You should ask for the list of sites he submitted your link to and see if your link appears in them (its the ONLY way)

    Join the club.
One guy charged me $30.00 for two manual submissions and all I get is spam emails. He basically used a Free Search engine submission.
    I get invoices every day.

One guy just took $2.00 and Never hear from him again.
This guy said he woul submit to lot of Search engines.

Now I am at a point, I don't really feel good to pay some one.

But I paid $27.00 today for 500 PR4+ directory submissio.

If this guy is fake, I am done with submitters for good.

    Thanks

    See this Thread at
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=164494
    or http://www.dynamicmember.us/Google_PageRank.htm

Everyone seems to be scrambling around trying to get links on websites with a high Google page rank. I see lists of people posting on freelance websites, "I need 100 inbound links with PR5 or higher!", "Inbound Links needed from PR3 and above websites"

What is (PR) PageRank and can I get a good PR rank by buying them NO!

Can I get a good PR rank by displaying Google AdSense on my website NO!

Can I get a good PR rank by displaying ALL good high PR on my website for example, all website like PR2, PR3 and so on ... NO!

While buying links may not get you banned, they can certainly hurt your page rank. Google has slowly been catching on to this fad and has measures in place to put your site in limbo for 6-8 months (known as the "sandbox effect") so you can't instantly benefit from buying links to your website. Many sites that sell links are being devalued by Google, making an investment in this strategy a waste of money and time. Ultimately, stay away from buying links to increase your ranking.

    Hi,

    Try this URL:

And check if your references increase.

    Cheers !

So buying links doesn't work, getting links from sites w/PR doesn't work, what does?

See this Thread for a better under standing

The key to success for a web site is good search engine ranking. All of the major search engines use link popularity to determine how well a site will rank - so the more high quality, relevant links that lead to your site, the higher it will rank.

I use LinkMachine LinkMachine can be used on up to three different web sites. Additional web site licenses are $10 per individual site, $50 for a block of 8 site licenses, or $200 for a block of 50. After upgrading LinkMachine, if you're dissatisfied for any reason, there's a 30 day full money-back guarantee. You can't go wrong!

You get what you pay for 27$ for 500 (that's like payng 1$ for a Hosting with a few G.B and 100-500G.B bandwich and to expect to be real)
IFor my clients i give them the list of webdirectorys and the mail used (but if you submit to 300 webdirectorys you will not recive 300 mail 200 is the best number i recived, 450 webduirectorys i recived 300 mails you got the idea)

All this really depends on what you plan to achieve with your backlinks or with a link provider.

Of course backlinks work! This is how G measures the good from the bad and how to place on the top of the SERPs. Of all the sites you see at the top; most likely they paid for a majority of those links.

Now, it all depends on what you are attempting to achieve with your linking campaign -

If you are trying to achieve link popularity passage, then you want the max number of links on any one page to be 20 or less. This way you get a fraction or the PR (eg. if a PR6 has 20 outbound links, then you get 1/20th of the that PR). Therefore, the smaller the number of outbounds, the more passage you get.

If you are trying to increase your SERP placement, then you want trusted links that are relevant to your theme or category. This is achieved primarily with deep links in content hosted pages on the linked website.

I hope this gives some insight into the world of linking and how it can help or hurt you.

If you would like any additional information, don't hesitate to contact me.

    Thanks,
