vBSEO vs vRewrite ?

This is probably the question a lot of you asked before or you wanted to ask :).

I'm in the same dilema and it would be really good if someone could explain the difference and benefits of obviously better peace of software, vBSEO. I never used vBSEO before and I'm seriously considering on using it so I would like to know what are the you experiences with SE positioning, increase of SE traffic, etc., before and after.

I know there are testimonials and success stories on their site but I would like to hear it from first hand.

Please make concrete posts and do not trash the thread with stupid comments. ;)

    Cheers!

Hello, you should definitely start by having a look at our demo to see what is "inside the box":
    http://www.vbseo.com/demo/

Additionally, you might want to check out our customer reviews forum. This is information that is voluntarily submitted by our customers regarding their experience with vBSEO:

vBSEO does alot more than just mod_rewrite. It's worth the money long term in most cases, depends on what the purpose of your forum is really.

Its a nice product,my only issue is that lately vBseo guys are spending more time on DP than their own Vbseo forums. :p

That's just me Notorious. I monitor other forums for users with questions about vBSEO. The rest of the team is still working diligently at home (i.e. www.vbseo.com). :)

I use vBSEO on three sites actually, and would use it on any other vBulletin forum I operate in the future. I've never used vBulletin w/out vBSEO so I really couldn't give you a fair comparison. Prior to that I was using heavily SEO'd phpBB forums (and still have one). The results have been similar, but that's not important.

I know what good SEO is, and vBSEO (and their other products like sitemap, etc.) takes care of 95% of it (while it doesn't perform some of the template modification that helps - their members and staff have posted articles on how-to do it). Whenever there was something I was trying to figure out in vBulletin (SEO wise), their staff helped me with the code even though it had nothing (directly) to do with vBSEO. You just don't get that kind of service everywhere.

VBseo is not a magic(that will make your rankings better).......... nor it will do anygood itself without applying other seo techniques....

I am using vbseo on one of mysite and nothing on other... I cant telll any diffrence.. so far..

AND VBrewrite is a NO-GO... dont use it IMO...
ya if you want your urls seo freindly get vbseo( the reason i am not recomending vbrewrite is becase its free hack and down the road they will not support it) and if you upgrade your vb version you will be hooped.........

I don't want to offend anyone but IMO vRewrite is a useless one. As Alvin said, you can't get it to work with latest releases of vbulletin unless of course you're a coder yourself. I am planning to purchase vbseo for my site because the people behind this product do seem to be very professional and they know their stuff. Just one question, do you guys limit the sale of your product to legal sites only? Check below for an example:

Off-topic: can you use adsense on a page with pirated movies?

No you can't. You better pull it before your account is banned.

But the site is stilll using it and it has passed your manual review. The owner (Notorious) of that domain is there in this very topic.

i just tried installing vRewrite and i see nothing really bad about it, i think it's same as vBSEO will do only good...

however, i do believe that vBSEO do more then just vRewrite, i suggested to one of my clients, and he bought it, i need to follow up with him on improvements (if any).

the bad thing about it though, even though i referred him to vBSEO and i was reseller, he didn't follow my link and purchased it directly and when I've tried contacting vBSEO i got no response on several occasions, once again that have nothing to do with their product, but still...

but, no one answered main question that was post in the very begging...
What is the difference between these two? Visually I only see URL rewriting...

Personally I used the Zoints SEO. It is free, it has the same effect as vbseo and it is very simple to install.
