I want to screenshot a few pictures from a DVD that i have been watching on my computer, so i pressed the screenshot button and then paste the picture into Paint, but that doesn't work as when I turn the DVD player off and view the picture that I had screenshot, it just turned up as a black picture, and i was wondering how i could take a screenshot of it without it doing this?

Try it with hardware acceleration turned off.
-Right click on the desktop go to
    Properties/Settings/Advanced

Now click on the troubleshoot tab and move the slider for hardware acceleration to none.

However in general the best way to get a screnshot is to use the DVD software.
