What are some Good Sites To Get Free Pictures For My Website?

I am looking for free pictures so I can use on my website without committing copyright infringement. Some people have recommended some but I have not been able to find what I am look for.

How do you know if you can use a flickr picture on your website?

I am looking for lamp pictures without having to pay.

I've used http://www.sxc.hu/ in the past. Just checked they're upgrading at the moment but they have a lot of free stock photos.

I have used their site before as well, but I can't seem to find what I am looking for there.

It seems that none of the free pictures site have lamps as pictures.

I was wondering what the terms and conditions are for using flickr pictures on my website.

Would I be breaking the law if I use them?

How about free pictures download available at microsoft picture gallery? (within MS-word etc. AND their linked online repository)?

Google Wikimedia Commons and type in the descriptions that you're looking for. The images are (or should be) public domain, but read the print to be 100.

I have found some really relevant photos at morguefile.com, try them out!

 

Some Flickr photos adopt a Creative Commons license. Just tick that box when you search on Flickr, and the photos that get returned are the ones you can use on your site.
