Contest Buying "Cartoony" Flash Graphics - !!! $150 Prize Pool !!! *Every1 Wins*

Discussion in 'Design Contests' started by Puddinlover, Nov 7, 2009.

I'm a programmer and I'm currently working on a little kids game in Flash (Actionscript 3.0).

Well my art skill level is below par even for kids graphics.

So I'm opening a contest to EVERYONE for just about ANYTHING!

The "rules" are simple... use Flash to draw your graphics and save them as .fla, as long as the graphics are semi-commercial quality or better and follow a "cartoony" art style you WILL get paid!

Currently I'm accepting everything but people (so basically anything that isn't living).

Please try to keep each "thing" (any whole item you draw) in its own movie clip.

I want to keep everyone's creative minds open but here is what I could draw to show you the "style" of graphics.

The pay can ranges from just a few cents per graphic to multiple dollars per graphic. So it can really add up if you create multiple graphics.

I'm pretty darn accepting of most things and open to pay anyone as long as the art is at least semi-commercial quality (I will be the judge of that).

I need as many as I can pay for :)

So just keep them coming and once the prize pool is out I might add more or stop the contest.

Can't wait to see what you guys can think of!

(contest runs until the money is all gone!!!)

So you might pay 1 cent then? Or will you pay based on posted jpgs, then accept .fla after payment is made?
If you wont i cant see anyone going for this.

I will be on all day long and to answer your questions:

To ease your worries I will GUARANTEE all graphics will get over 1 cent ;)

For the first submission from a user I will pay based on posted images as long as you are a reputable member. If not then I will pay for the graphics after I get the .fla. In either case I will pay after I get graphics for anyone after their first submission.

I'm just out to have a fun contest (it's a kids game after all) and pay people for their art! I've been a member of DP for many years now and I've come to realize that people with lower rep have a good chance of scamming me. I'm not out for scamming (or drama), I'm a very straight forward kind of guy and want to conduct nothing but legitimate business (as you can see by my rep rating).

    - Not really meaning that at anyone, just an open message to all and hopefully a message that will avoid any drama inside a thread that is supposed to be FUN!

Like I said, I will be on all day :)

Looks good but the only thing is... I kind of have a lamp just like that (the one I drew on my example), hehe.

If you don't mind draw anything else and then we can talk pay openly in this thread or pm (up to you) =]

Also, it does not HAVE to be animated (objects like say a bananas or a can of pop or even a building *to some extent* don't even need to be animated) but yes I do agree a light turning on and off is a GREAT example of a GREAT place to put an animation!

So ya mate, make anything else (a school house, a bus, a stove, a computer, a basketball court, a race car, anything :p) and we can go from there!

Also Note: As for shading.... you do not need to add any outer shading please, but it would be nice if you act as if a light was shinning on the object from the top left corner (like maybe make a can of pop shiny at the top leftish corner but do not add a shadow of the pop on the ground (inner object shadowing is fine though!).)

    Hey!

Do you accept vector art in *.ai or *.eps (illustrator friendly)? I think you can to upload them to flash too.

Sorry mate but if you add a little more "depth" to the bus it would be totally acceptable. Right now I feel like I could draw a bus of similar quality.

    Sent you a PM =]

Hmm, your example isn't showing up.
