im sick of gettin emails saying that my site has been took out of rotation, becasue ads could not be found in a folder named http://.../cgi-bin/ where there arnt even any files let alone pages that exist in this directory, so i have to keep logging in to validate my account manually, and its gettin quite annoying now.

    any suggestions?

    cheers,
    Josh

Well, Google must think there is a page there if it indexed it

Maybe prevent bots from crawling your cgi-bin directory? Although I must say, even doing this takes Google forever to recognise.

erm, the ad network is also saying it cant find ads in specific directories, that do exist and the ads are live, i dont want to ban all bots from those directories, so does the ad network bot have a name i can use in the robots.txt file so i dont keep gettin these messages

when you signed up you should have specified a location where the ads would be placed
log into your account at http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/
and click on Edit Account Settings
    you should see:
    Site/Forum URL
change this to whatever location your ads are at...that should fix the problem...well hopefully at least (it doesn't have to be exact)
you could just do domain.tld/foldername and it'll look in everything under that folder

    hope that helped
