Hello I am building a website for tutorials (offline, under development). I want to integrate adsense ads with my design, but I am not sure that I am doing is correct according to Adsense TOS. Do I need to ask the adsense people for advice, before I put the site online? www.yourimagelink.com/uploads/a0b47b6c12.gif - Adsense links screenshot www.yourimagelink.com/uploads/09cfbd8c2e.gif - Adsense ads screenshot (the screenshots are hosted on free picture hosting provider) Thank you
I don't think so, you're simply blinding ur ads very well... If u want to increase your community for a starting site maybe is not the best solution, but if u want to start make adsense $$, it's ok .. Good work... WMG
You should not hide Adsense ads! disgusing the Visitor from click on it! Ads should look like ads, but you can make them appear according to your site format but not hiding them inside your site contents!
I dont believe you are breaking any Adsense TOS and Im sure you will get a high ctr. but that serious detracts from the users experience. So the question is whether you want them to come back or not.
That's exactly what you want to do! Make it look like part of your site so you get a higher CTR. Don't listen to any one who tells you not to hide your ads.
I disagree. For some situations it is the right thing to do. But generally, it stops users coming back and long term reduces your revenue. Show me examples of successful cases on BIG sites where they over integrate the adverts. There will be many more that dont.
You are wonderful. You have blended ur ad so well that ur design can be put on adsense support section for people to see how can some one blend ads to his layout. Also in the first image i recommend u to underline the category title as 'adlinks by google' is underlined.
I think Google would not approve. Play it safe and find out first. In google's eyes, there is a difference between blending in ads in your web site in a clever way...and deceiving your visitors into clicking ads. And what you're doing is 100% deceiving. User will click your ads, no doubt about it, but they will do because they think they are clicking on your HTML tips. Google does not want that, they want people to know that they are clickin g on ads. I might be wrong, I don't make the rules, but whenever there's this kind of doubt, find out from google for the correct answer. Over here, you'll only get what people THINK is right or wrong.
too many people seem to forget its not all about CTR and your earnings; the advertiser needs to make money as well from the ads or they'll stop running them on the content network. as an advertiser on adwords, I turned off content ads a long time ago, and the more I see screen shots like that it makes me glad I did. I do not think the :"owners" of those ads would like the placement as the click would be very unlikely to lead to a sale - more likely it'd be an accidental click.
Google gives people all the different size and color options so people can blend them into their sites. Google just came up with the adlinks so they will not looks so much like ads. I don't think you are doing anything wrong and it still says "google ads". It's not like you are manipulating the code you are just blending it in nicely to your site.
big sites? who needs a big site when you can have an army of small ones. what do you think those ad links are???? google created them for the purpose of making it look like internal navigation. not only that, the how-to's on google tell you how to make ads blend in for the purpose of increasing CTR. IMO - if you are a business, trying to sell widgets and that's your main focus ... your nuts placing any ads on your site period. why ask people to leave? it also cheapens your image. I would consider Adsense a business model in itself. brilliantly devious oktim!
No I don't think so You just used an very nice format to put ads. BTW, the i failed to see the images directly but I asked other people the download the image for me.
Right on......I turned off content ads as soon as I saw how they were being promoted. Most people do the right thing and show the ads as they are supposed to be seen but this sort of stuff....well it just turns us advertisers right off. If Google didn't have the option to turn off content ads I wouldn't use adwords at all.
There is nothing wrong with this... Remove adsense ads from error pages./.. that's against tos...You have incorporated in on error pages too...
i think your google links are ok, but the 2nd pic... Quite sketchy. Id be angry if my ads were being shown like that.
We have to get into Adverts Shoe's while designing a site and adding adsense or any other ads init. We are integrating adsense to make money but donot forget Advertisers too pay money to get good and quality traffic, here quality traffic I mean the visitors are should be aware of where they are going and intrested in the product offered to them. If the visitors are simply redirected by hiding ads inside the contents with my experience I can assure you they will simpley close the new opened window and hence it's a total loss for Advertisers ! To be fair for all ads should be like ads not contents!
