I've been a member of Ezinearticles since Oct of 06, I am a platinum author and have thousands of articles with them... No im not banned What I want to say is I ve heard they are banning some people for those PE, Acai berry and other hot niches...because they are concerned about quality.. Hey Mr. Chris Knight.. your quality was never their..sorry to say it... your site lacks innovation and the only thing it has going for it is Google is still keeping your site in the index.. What if ezine got slapped then what... do you think people will keep bowing to you then....? How about not letting those Google ads block your view from innovation or atleast something somewhat remarkable.... your directory is just that... Mr. Chris Knight.. text, ads and a few links and thats it... whats remarkable about it besides Google keeping it indexed... how about adding other forms of media such as good ol' pictures, videos, a decent rating system that can't be easily exploited, groups, author collaboration or anything... Anything Chris besides just content, ads and links... do you have anything at all to add... besides your aged and Google still keeping you in... This is why all the bans cuz if they don't watch it they will see those 13 million uniques a month come crashing down, but eventually Chris you will have to add some real value.... something like Squidoo with other forms of media and monetization for the people creating your content.... Hey Chris how about giving all your user generated content creators more than just a couple of links that barely send any traffic unless you have thousands of articles... how about that... how about some revenue share, other forms of monetization and media for the CREATORS.. anything Chris.. besides text, ads and links or you will suffer the hand of Google because your site lacks anything remarkable or innovative.. I betcha Matt Cutts would probably agree, thats why Chris is smacking the hammer down...
no i dont have any beef with Ezinearticles or Chris at all... I'm just saying, Chris wants to keep turning the dial on quality... and IMO the site never really has had anything going for it besides Google loving it... what if Google turns that dial themselves and slaps the crap out of them because the site is lame and doesn't really add any value.. How can text, ads and links add value (It can, but not in this case)... Thats MFA... except on a really big scale... you can't add any pictures, videos, you can't put links in the text to actually be helpful if you wanted because... THEIR Google ads are above the fold and if you put a link in text their is a chance they won't get a click on ther Adsense ads... so ultimately what is Ezine?... It's a huge, MFA site that Google loves... but for how much longer... I'd love to hear Matt Cutts point of view on Ezinearticles being a MFA site and why they still love them... because a user comes to the article and clicks a Google ad... thats not quality
No offense, but I think ezinearticle established an authority in that niche. That site been around for a while. Every website got their own rules. If they wanna give less links, its upto the users if they wanna use it or not. Too many links isnt a good idea after all for anybody.
if you don't see many benefits of ezinearticles' current form, why do you have "thousands of articles with them"?
Im not talking about them being an established authority or giving links... I'm talking about quality... and value.... and I said what kind of value does Ezinearticles really add... they don't have pictures, videos, the content they do have is spammy and filled with adsense ads... and most of the websites ezinearticles links to are MFA, thin affiliate sites, redirects to affiliate sites and spammy sites... So think about it... take the authority away and what type of value do they add? the same reason many others do... to link to affiliate sites, MFA sites, redirects, ecommerce etc... I didn't say I didn't use them... but what I'm saying is they have a serious lack of innovation, being remarkable and adding value... you know it and I know it and everyone else knows it.. they add no value... it's text, adsense ads everywhere and 2 links to most likely a very thin, low quality site
You do realize this is a MARKETING forum, not a 'bitch about somebody else because they made something that's successful' forum right? If you want to kick up a shit storm then post at GFY and you'll actually get your trollfest going. Get a grip dude, your post doesn't offer anything useful. 'blah blah blah...MFA...blah blah blah...' is all I see. And I seriously doubt you have 'thousands' of articles on that site if you had this big of a problem with it. Get over it.
This is why i am posting about this... because i do have thousands of articles with them and use them alot.... why?.... because if "Ezinearticles"doesn't start adding some real value... that means they get slapped, then all those thousands of articles I have in Ezinearticles will become "less valuable".. see what im saying? or no? It comes down to adding value in Google and the Users eyes... if a user and or Google doesn't really find it valuable... sooner or later their time will come.... I'm kinda saying... " Hey this is a warning from a user and searchers point of view, your site doesn't really add any value... you need to do something different, be remarkable, or if not... your not really providing a good user experience or adding value..."
Well then you better bitch about 99% of the rest of the web while you are at it too. There's millions of useless websites out there that don't add anything new. Based on what you are saying, the only websites that should be in existence are for businesses and wikipedia since they cover everything else.
ummmm....my site has some articles from ezine with a linkback duh! and i guess those are the pages getting most traffic from search engines i guess i had optimised article for search engine like chechking keyword density and stuff
But their are not millions of websites that get 13 million uniques a month either... sure their are little sites out their that are spammy, but when your as big as Ezinearticles you affect a greater part of the web... and with their resources etc... you would think by now they would be able to have a bit more on the pages and add more value than just text, adsense ads everywhere and a couple of links to a spammy site... I'm saying take the authority away and what do you have... does the site really add a good user experience or add any value?..
Ezine Articles has alot of quality articles and authors and they really have value. By the way, if anybody had a site with a million+ views everyday he would be really concerned about not losing his visitors and providing value.
thanks ... I'm still waiting on someone from Ezinearticles or the Spam team at Google to chime in on this... and please tell me that Since Ezinearticles is a premium adsense publisher... that wont affect Googles judgement or true perception on quality and value add
