Hi All, This is a competition to design + code a Wordpress theme. Winning Design: $95 USD via Paypal Code + Design: $130 USD for PSD + Coding If you cannot code that's fine, I have a developer for that. I am looking to get the following website redesigned: http://savingsaccountcompare.com.au/ I would like the same sort of colours, perhaps a bit lighter shade of blue. Requirements: Sidebar (prefer left, might look okay on the right) Comparison Table Section for blog posts (usually prefer blog posts - maybe intergrate into sidebar I would also like a newsletter/subscription box integrated somewhere on the site, perhaps at the bottom of article/posts or on the sidebar. Any questions let me know. My last $150 competition is here You can see I paid him and it was all good. Here is a site that looks alright: http://www.moneysupermarket.com/savings/ I want some banners next to blog post, so here is a mockup on the current design. I'm also hoping for a new more professional 'read more' button. it would be good if you could use the following form to upload designs. http://www.wakemedia.com.au/dpcontest/ Looking forward to some results! (try and include all the links that are currently on http://savingsaccountcompare.com.au)
I've made a couple of changes, so here's my updated entry. Revised logo and I've added the featured savings account section which I missed out. Cheers
Thankyou both for your entries. MohammadHaja - Sorry, it doesn't give off the professional vibe. Do not like Colours or font. Matt - Very nice, was expecting to have to wait a bit longer for an entry this good! However it still needs some work. The sidebar needs to be reduced in width and the main content width needs to be increased. I also wouldn't mind seeing a few different colour schemes, perhaps darker blue, green, etc. Just choose colours that you think give the site a trusting feel. It is very important that all future entries give a feeling of trust and authority. For example your banks website will most likely give off a trusting appearance. Looking forward to future entries!
Awesome, looking forward to it Matt. Note to all - I have invited some designers on Digitalpoint to participate in this contest. I like a tough choice! Cheers, Roflux
Excellent. Looking forward to submissions! I have a few colour schemes that I would like to include if you are having trouble coming up with some. Please only use this as a guideline. You guys are the designers, you know what looks most professional. Cricinfo - Cool clean web 2.0 feel blue. Not sure about the gradient could be a tad strong. ANZ - I like the shades of these blues, however there seems to be a bit too much blue! St George - A nice red design, not sure if it will work for my site tho... StarDesigns Entry for another contest - I like the blue in the header, and I also like the green up the very top in the buttons. Keep this in mind this is only a guideline, you DONT need to use any of the above colour schemes. They look great for these websites I'm not sure how it will look on a savings account website. Thanks!
It will be great if you kindly attach your psd file of your logo?so that we can easily insert the logo of your's inside it?
Sure thing: http://savingsaccountcompare.com.au/images/logo.psd Feel free to modify it as much as you like to make it fit with your design.
Hi roflux Sidebar changed from 325px wide to 250px. Everything has been resized accordingly. Updated entry available here. Cheers.
hi... just want to let CH know that I already started my design and will submit soon as I finish...and thanks for the invite =)
Nice Matt, your design is currently winning. Hi lejka, this is not bad however it is too blue. Perhaps try a white BG or a slight gradient. Sorry WDC, it just doesn't suit it. The colours are too strong and the table doesn't look right.
