If you do not have sufficient amount of links pointing to your website, you will keep striving and paying money to get a small portion of traffic that probably will not cover your expenses nor will it be worth the time you spend using other search engine optimization methods such as optimizing your website content. Even if you have the best website with the best content, if you do not have backlinks, you will not have any significant website traffic i would like to share this experiment with you, please read my article about the power of backlinks http://www.zeronese.net/webmaster-resources/articles/article-3458.html Hope it benefits all of you
Really good backlinks seem very hard to come by. Do the best back links come by other sites picking up your RSS feed? What is the best method?
Backlinks are really a great traffic generating method, but they take too much time… You have to look for websites, blogs or forums with high PR, then read their content, then start participating of the discussions, etc… if you expect to have traffic coming to your website this way. Just by posting once in a forum for example, you won’t be followed by anyone. But if you participate of the discussions, you are helpful, and your comments provide value to the conversations, people will care about visiting your site.
Twitter might be a good way to build backlinks I realised, if your article is good, make a post there. Tendency is that other people (provided you have the right followers) will repost links to your articles in their techblog etc. Worth a try. (That's also how I know about my new web host which is really good).
Natural backlinks from trusted sites are the best of all, they are also the hardest to acquire. In order to get those your only real chance is to publish the highest quality content.
You have to put the time in. You need to have relevant sites that are of good quality linking to you and you back to them. I have been tracking SEO for 5 years and GOOD links are the key. You have to exchange content with good sites and have useful links in the text and not orphaned on a buried page. Most newbies are trying to find some holly grail shortcut to get out of working. Those days are loooong gone. Maybe try working at it? My site is usually #1 or 2 for my niche and has been for over 3 years. I'm always getting good links. Ev
