    Hi all,

I haven't had the chance to look around DP to see if this has already been posted, apologies in advance if it has.

I've just been sent one of those links via MSN that if you click it, it will send the link to all of your friends without your consent. Unfortunately I did click it before realising what it was. The message is something like this...

I want to browse this site. (URL here) Why can't I browse this site ???

I won't provide the link here, but if it has "nsl-school" in the URL DO NOT click it. It is a MFA Mesothelioma site with AdSense everywhere. I've reported this to Google already.

    Cheers,
    Ponynugget

My sister got an AOL Instant Messenger "virus" except it didn't do much besides spreading itself. I guess this is even more evil than the other breeds of IM viruses.

Yeah, I mean at least they could make a warning bar pop up when "weird" URLs (like a link to a file ending with the .com extension, which is commonly how the viruses get novices) don't match the link text at all.

Msn is not so great at fixing bugs, you can still kick people from group conversations with 4 letters :p

I found the best thing for this is have another non-MSN client, I use AMSN, however the problem also recides in IE, as the link sends you to a page with a virus on, use Opera.
