my Mrs just sent this to me, unbelievable: Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about. A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston ), reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names. She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal. I am NOT making this up! She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in 'language' that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was, that black people couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report. I guess if the weather person says that the winds are going to blow at 140+ MPH, that's too hard to understand. I can hear it now: A weatherman in New Orleans says... Wazzup, mutha-fukkas! Hehr-i-cane Chamiqua be headin' fo' yo ass like Leroy on a crotch rocket! Bitch be a category fo'! So, turn off dem chitlins, grab yo' chirren, leave yo crib, and head fo' de nearest FEMA office fo yo FREE shit! if your from Texas and voted for this dumb bitch, shame on you.
It just gets better and better all the time, doesn't it? It's up to the black community to learn and speak proper English which is taught in our public school system throughout the country. If they missed the boat that's their problem, nobody else. Their weather person down in New Orleans no doubt went to the same public school system like everyone else. As far as names go for Hurricanes, then we would need to look at the Native American names first before the Black names, seeing as the Native Americans were here first. Let's see, Crazy Horse, Running Bear, White Cloud, Weasel Head, and so on and so on. Of course I gave the English names, the Native Americans have their own language. My husband heard this on the national news not too long ago, English is the standard language, all pilots (commercial or military) no matter what country they are from have to know the English language as a second language. I don't think that means the yo daddys either! As far as Texas goes, I would like to give them a benefit of doubt, sometimes when we vote, it isn't until afterwards when we find out we made a huge error in judgment.
There's always one who likes to use their minority status to their advantage. It's the same in Scotland, but with Muslims and Catholics.
On the same note, we in America have some of the stupidest white people on the planet. To set aside for a second that the majority of African Americans here are descendant of slaves and whites preferred for two centuries+ in this nation, it is a little inexcusable to have ignorant Caucasians, no? Blacks today, heaven forbid, are crying out for equality as this is their best opportunity to do so with a black president in office. Education has no racial boundary, but is shown to lack in those that think it does; like a few people's posts I'm reading right now. Your problem is with someone complaining about the name of hurricanes needing a more exotic flavor? Yes, of course it is a completely frivolous position to take in this day and age...But outing it for anything more than just a "dumb idea" and attributing it to a "dumb black idea" is racist to a point of retardation (I mean that with the utmost disrespect to those who mock the retarded by acting as such). The day us whites end the debt-currency system, put as much of an emphasis on saving lives as we do "protecting" and taking it away, actually check and balance our white brethren at the top 5% of the global power structure...Then we can make some case. Until then, GROW THE F*** UP AND COMPETE. You are "better" than them, aren't you? Their "advantages" shouldn't be a problem then, since you're superior, and most you see around you was built on their backs (organized by the superior intelligent whites, though). Cheers, you children; go back to your backwards towns.
The minorities guide to being a minority: 1) Claim racism if you don't get your own way 2) Change the subject 3) Cry how you're maltreated, even if it was hundreds of years ago 4) Blame the majority. It's the names of hurricanes, does it really matter what they're called?
You are assuming I am Caucasian? Don't assume I am Native American either. Peter, hat's off to you! Your response was brilliant and nothing more needs to be said.
