7 Months Old - launched in March 2006.

This is my baby, my best site yet. I'm selling because I'm moving away from contextual advertising as it no longer holds much interest to me anymore.

With modest AdSense placement (I.E. not in the visitors faces) It generated $124.39 USD last month. I have removed AdSense (there are usually 2 adverts on each article, one at the bottom and one at the top right, wrapped around the content) for the time being so no unscrupulous person can try to get my account toasted. The adverts are in .php includes so it's just a matter of re-inserting them in to the 2 .php files and re-uploading.

The last 3 months of revenue are as follow:

    Jul: USD 56.79
    Aug: USD 94.16
    Sep: USD 124.39

As you can see it's growing nicely.

Google started to send a lot more traffic last month. I believe this is the first stages of coming out of the sandbox, but obviously I cannot claim this it is merely an assumption. Google also indexed the entire site last month for the first time - I believe it now has enough PR to deep-crawl it all.

There are 370 unique/original articles written by freelancers. You will have sole rights to these and no-one else can use them.

    • 334 of these articles are online.
    • 31 of these articles are ready to upload and require no editing.
    • 28 of these articles require editing (My bad I didn't know English wasn't his first language, but you can work with these easily enough).

I have been updating the site every day, every other day and sometimes every 3 days for the entire 7 months. The last article I uploaded was around 3 days ago.

There are 31 articles to be uploaded, so you can keep the site ticking over and fresh for another few months or longer without investing anymore money in content.

All of the articles target keywords or phrases in the pregnancy field. Long-tail and the primary top words. The site is fully designed around the main keywords and sectioned as such. The main sections have incoming links with correct anchor text and the full site and articles are inter-linked to other sections within the site, as you will see.

There are 352 pages indexed in Google.

There are 5 paid links in the following directories:

    www.site-sift.com
    www.uncoverthenet.com
    www.wowdirectory.com
    www.botw.org
    www.goguides.com

With other links I managed to get from some pregnancy sites by manual link building techniques.

    Traffic for September:

    3,786 Visits / 16,710 Pageviews. Returning visitors: 12%.

I can't think of anything else you need to know. I'm sure you can research the backlinks for yourself as different places show different results.

The auction will run until 7PM New York Time on Wednesday October the 4th unless the Buy it Now is met.

World Time Converter for those that need it.

BIN PRICE: $5,995 - there is no movement on this as I know what the site is worth with the extensive foundation work done and current revenue patterns.

    Thanks for looking,

    Pete

No PPC campaigns running - all traffic is from natural search engine traffic which is growing rapidly.

The paid links cost me $244.84 in total and they are around 6 months old/aged.

The BOTW.org link is a re-curring $49.95 fee every year (you can either take-over this or just let it expire in about 6 months).

The other paid ones are permanent life-time links.

I think 10X of the revenue is very reasonable for PR3. I will go for $1200. 20X is way too much. BIN is 48X  .. Good luck.

That's what I was thinking. I don't know if the person that put in that initial bid is legit or not but bidding $2500 that quickly is kinda suspicious....

So where are you cunningly hiding your Adsense blocks?

Toydog: That is an extremely innacurate way to value a site such as this. Perhaps if the site had a few pages of content I would agree with you, but you're talking 370 original articles.

If you wanted to replicate it from scratch you're first talking $2,000 for the original content alone, nevermind the extensive keyword research, design and planning involved. Then you would have to build it, link build and keep the site updated for 7 months while the links age. There is a lot of value in the foundation work already done plus the earning potential.

If you think 10x the revenue is reasonable that would put you at around $3,240 if you had considered the value of the content - these aren't articles I have lifted of an article site and it is in the unique articles where a lot of the value in this site lays, along with how they will perform as time goes on, etc. Try to invisage the long-tail searches on a site as large as this as its comes out and eventually is out of the sandbox.

The current high bid is $2,500.

For some reason i dont believe that, if you see, no site ever hides the adsense blocks because they put up the site for sale....

Maybe you got banned from adsense and now you gotta sell?

Seiya, plenty of people in here will vouch for my authenticity. I have sold 3 sites for over $7,000 in total and do a lot of work for regulars in here.

With the recent bannings going on I aren't going to risk anyone in here knowing my AdSense ID - I would be opening myself up to attack, wether from envy or just damn-right nastyness.

Less of the insinuations and more of listening to my reasoning for removing the adverts. A bit of trust in a long-time DP member (me) wouldn't go a miss too - check my rating and itrader feedback.

What else can I do, Seiya?

I agree that to get hose 370 articles will cost around $2'000-$2'500, but I think that they're worth the income they will generate, not their cost.
    Good luck with the sale

What does that mean in English? If you make good money how can it not 'interest' you any more? Confused here.
