Please advise me how to add google site map to a blog at blogger.com? Is it enough just by submitting blog to google through common submission at google? thanks for your help. Lukman
See this post http://getfreewebtraffictoyoursite.blogspot.com/2006/09/generating-your-own-rss-sitemap.html. Just put your URL in the box and your sitemap will be generated.
great tips guys, thanks. i've been using sitemaps but was unaware it was possible to use them on a blogspot account. guess it makes sense of course. thanks again!
If one were to use a tool like the one above, isn't it accurate that it would only map the pages / blog posts that currently exist, but if a new post to the blog were made tomorrow, they would not be on the sitemap. Is this something you recommend doing periodically to ensure Google sees everything, as it's not a one-time fix?
I didn't even know it was possible to have a site map with blogger. Thanks for the links. They were very helpful in explaining how to do it.
Well the sitemap can be automatically updated the only thing you have to do is use the Atom File for the sitemap for instance you can select the file http://www.sbmct.com/atom.xml (Which is the atom Feed / RSS Feed) as the Sitemap file. This will keep your sitemap file constantly updated and Google sitemaps will crawl the file very regularly. Regards Rajeev
its easy just give your atom url. more details are available here - http://www.dailyseoblog.com/2007/06/how-to-build-a-sitemap-for-blogger-and-large-websites/
go to google sitemap after add your URL blog then verify your blog it will generate code for you you have to put in in your blog >>setting >>edit HTML Put the code below <Head> then click verify After that go to add sitemap select add general web sitemap then fill xttp://xxx.blogspot.com/atom.xml YOu have to fill atom.xml then fill xttp://xxx.blogspot.com/rss.xml YOu have to fill rss.xml then click submit
You should add general web sitemap (blogger.com) details below 1. xttp://your url/atom.xml 2. xttp://your url/rss.xml then click submit and put code on below <Head></Head> and then verify your sitemap
i have two suggest for you. * use your rss feed for you site * trying gsitecrawler is a good option too
