Jihadist Wannabe Screws up Attempt to Murder Texans for Glory of Allah

If that title seems disquieting... compare it to this quote:
Hosam ("Sam" to his friends) is a 19 year old Jordanian citizen living (illegally) in Italy TX. He works at a gas station and is a really nice kid that "parties hard" according to his friends. To hear them talk, if being a fervent Muslim was against the law, there wouldn't be evidence to convict.

What they didn't know is that his online persona is that of a lover of "violent jihad"... where he speaks passionately about the topic. He was spotted by the FBI, who apparently posed as an al Qaeda sleeper cell and sold him the (fake) carbomb he then attempted to ignite under a skyscraper in downtown Dallas.
But at least he had pure motives.
That's the whole problem with buying weapons of mass destruction from the Feds...
If you don't purchase the extended warranty they almost never work. Hope he kept his receipt. Anyway, now he's in Federal custody. [Hmmm... somebody do a DP roll call... are we missing anyone?] This particular jihadist will not be put to death because he had the IQ of a toaster and failed to accomplish his objective, but neither will he realize his stated intent to harm millions of "enemies of Islam".

[Apparently working in a downtown office building in Dallas qualifies one as "an enemy of Islam".]

We Put the "Fun" in Fundamentalist
In consolation, he'll likely have the honor of exploring romantic relationships as the girlfriend of large tatooed guys with colorful nicknames in his new and very permanent home. At the tender age of 19 he is assured to never see another day of freedom as long as he breathes, all thanks to indulging in the BS espoused all over the net by nutcases that want to strike blows in the name of a perverted and archaic cult of religious inspired violence. One of the dangers of being a lover of violent jihad in America I suppose.

Read the arrest warrant linked below... nice quotes about how he planned to do this for wonderful reasons. Oh well, another wannabe terrorist puke bite the dust.

BTW: Two more arrested... Denver and Illinois
They got another in Illinois in the same 24 hour period, and one in Denver. [Note to internet jihadist wannabes... the FBI DOES read the hate garbage spewed on the net. Best not to try and put it into action.] Fortunately for us, being a fervent believer in killing innocent people for the glory of Allah doesn't require a ton of brains, just a warped sense of right and wrong.

    Good new Rob.

Think I'll celebrate with some chili. Since they caught 3 of em, I'll get some 3 way chili (cincinnati style on top of spaghetti).

Folks, keep your eyes and ears open. Lets catch those bastards.

Thanks for the info, Rob. Dumbass kids who achieved their goal - to end their life - though it will be by breathing imprisonment for their hate and idiocy. Such a sad thing - babies, born into life, with all the potential to do something good with that life, and to choose to turn it to complete dogshit.

Let's hope he's a lover of "arse jihad" too, because there's going to be a fatwah on his coal hole when he gets to prison.

"........ And if you were a lover of Jihad as I am, then, by God, I am ready for the Jihadi life.”

Lover of people whould have saved him in this and the other world. I wonder how he got misled to believe he is doing the will of God by trying to kill people?

Where are: imad, new, and the others fanatically telling us that Islam is the best? How come every week a muslim in the name of God is ready to kill innocent people?
(Note: Killing civilians is what they want.)
And btw non of them has come yet to condemn his or their actions.

Most Muslims I know are like most non-Muslims I know - they'd prefer to live out their lives in peace, and leave others to do the same.

That said, young, dumbass men have always been prey to the Hero's Quest, because they have zero real understanding of the preciousness of life - theirs, and others. As such, a certain kind of neanderthal mind resonates with the likes of Al-Qaeda and its fellow fundamentalist, jihadist travelers. This kid ruined his life, and sought to ruin the lives of countless others; he has earned all that is coming to him, and that is a tragedy.

Imad has said, there are no "moderate muslims" and "radical muslims"; there are only "muslims." As such, I believe he takes his religious prescription to be immutable, and impervious to the call of modern sensibilities. This makes him a fundamentalist by definition and no, I don't believe he - or New, or Polite Teen - would have an issue with this murderous action. I cannot go into details on this public forum, but I know I've a personal experience with a similar mindset - a former co-worker whose writings betrayed, grossly betrayed, precisely this - sympathy with and intimations of mass murder, of the kind this kid sought to carry out, and for similar, jihadist reasons.

I know many Muslims who would and do have an issue with this, and I count them as my friends and neighbors.

It is odd that our fundamentalist Muslim buddies can find every thread but this one. If Islam is a religion of peace I'd have expected them to immediately say all three of these wannabe bombers are lower than pond-scum.

I believe Jihad is to fight those who are fighters or war igniters, not the innocent civilians.

So then, you would consider blowing up major financial buildings wrong because of innocent civilians? Is that right? How do you feel about blowing up American Marine bases and recruitment centers, would that be justified jihad in your view?
