    That is exactly what I said. the only difference is that Google now has confirmed it..Just thought everyone should know in case there was anyone who was unsure.

    IMO, it's stupid that Google doesn't utilize the Keyword Meta tag AT ALL. Come on, so some people keyword stuff or whatever... Keywords are important regardless. The site owner is listing the keywords that categorize his website and Google doesn't use them at all? What the heck

    It's nice of google to finally remove the lingering doubt. Even though I knew they weren't used, I couldn't bring myself to abandon them entirely, just in case.

    This is not a helpful post, this was declared years ago. Google has NEVER supported the keywords meta tag.

    If you will look at the post you will see that this is about Google finally officially announcing the fact. Google has never made it official until now.
