Renewed Domain and Got TOP 10 Google SERP Ranking

I just want to share some tips here. It is proven. I have been working on Atniz (http://atniz.com) blog on both onsite and offsite seo for nearly a year now. I have optimized to rank well on "Work At Home" keyword. All this while, I able to rank #15-17 on google.com

It was near to expiry for this domain (2months+). So, I just renewed it for 2 years. Just 2 days after domain renewal, my serp ranking increased almost doubled. I'm ranking #8-9 for both "Work at home" and "work from home" keyword. Now, everyone knows that this is a very highly competitive keyword and to increase serp ranking by 2-3 position needs a lot of backlinks.

That is almost 10 step increase (at first page) with just extending domain expiry. Probably, google believes that this domain just optimized for selling purpose. I know many believed that domain expiry date is no more evaluate our serp ranking or effect search engine point of view on our site. Because, I assumed that too until I try. Why not you try it too?

I think it would be interesting if you tried this: report back here in two weeks, then again in a month to see how you are doing. Its gotten you a good ranking in the short run, but the big question if that strategy can get you a good ranking in the long run...

It is well known that domain age is a factor. From what you are saying, the renewal of the domain in itself is a like a thumbs up to google. Thanks for the tip.

I hear that the length of your registration does matter. If it is only registered for 1 year then it is assumed you may just be tasting and are not really serious about it.

It is part of the conventional wisdom that renewing your domain years ahead gives you some points with the search engines. While I can't prove that, I think it makes sense. So I've renewed out to about 2013, as I recall. Can't hurt, may help.

I agree to Atniz, I have no hard proof to prove this but realized it in past for couple of domains. I still believe domain renewed for 3-5 years will increase the trust in google's eye.

It doesn't have any sense. Even you renewed your domain for 40 years it doesn't bring u any better position than u renewed it for one year.

but realized it in past for couple of domains
    Code (markup):
man older better it make sense, not time how long u will register your domain.

Yes, it makes good sense. Spammers and quick-buck artists tend to register domain names for the minimum time (usually one year). When you have your domain name paid for several years in advance, that speaks stability to the search engines.

Show me the prove! Spammer can use the same way one year register domain as 10 years register domain.

And where is the point of buying domain for 5 years and what if you get banned or something??

You can see most of probloggers like JohnChow, Shoemoney, Problogger.net have registered their domain for more than 5 years. You can check these details at websitegrader.com

Really, that is good news, We too can follow the same way, However, I don't think you can be sticking there on your current SERP for longer days(abt 3-4 weeks) with the help of this factor.
