    look at this ad :

    You wont be breaking any AdSense terms by belending your ads in this method, all you have to do is to make a table, a background image for the table "use PhotoShop to make a nice looking transparent image", post your ad code within the table tags and with some modification you will get a code like this :

    <center>
    <table border="0" width="23%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"
    height="194">
    <tr>
    <td
    style="padding-left: 18px; padding-right: 22px; padding-top: 10px;
    padding-bottom: 10px; background-image:url('ad_bg.gif');
    background-repeat:no-repeat">
    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-[your_id]";
    google_ad_width = 180;
    google_ad_height = 150;
    google_ad_format = "180x150_as";
    google_ad_type = "text_image";
    google_ad_channel ="0760679408";
    google_color_border = "caf99b";
    google_color_bg = "caf99b";
    google_color_link = "000000";
    google_color_text = "000000";
    google_color_url = "008000";
    //--></script>

    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </center>
    PHP:
    Use FrontPage to make it easier .

    Download the background image here ad_bg.gif :

    Google says that there should be a divider between an image and the ads. I do not know what they say of having ads over an image.

    So, with what % did you increase your CTR using this method ? (CTR, not the traffic to your website with this post ;) )

    Hmm... why did you title it "blending"? It is actually making it very much stand out instead. I have a layout like this with a little Post-It note behind the ad block and the CTR is almost nil. I just like the way it looks and don't care about the site it's on but on a good site that's bringing money I would definitely consider getting rid of anything that makes it stand out. Proved that in testing time and time again since 2003.

    yes this makes the ads stand out - not helpful in all cases- but in places wer u want it to really stand out - this one is the hack!

    Do not use the black as the shadow color, instead of that use light gray .

    I'm glade you like it people, so soon there will be another technique I am working on, when it done I will share it with you .
