I was just wondering if there are any Search Engine Strageties or Optimisation or General Online Marketing conferences in Australia. There are all these conferences over in the US and UK but I haven't seen much down here in Australia.
Yeah I think I have come across that site before - I have registered for updates on their site. But I mean there are conferences every couple of weeks in the US and UK, is there only one a year here in Australia.
SEO/SEM is very small in Australia mate. I think Search Engine Strategies heads over to Sydney every few years. I haven't been to any of them. My first one will probably be in the States.
Well I couldn't cement a certain "yes I'm keen" but it will definitely be something I'll consider, depending on, of course, how my schedule is and how things go over the coming months. But it would be pretty kool if we could get a bit of a Aussie group crusing over together.
So does anyone know of any other Search Engine Marketing conferences or even learning workshops etc in Australia?
Did you read this article regarding Google and Australia copyright laws? More proof Australia is losing the plot This conference is coming up by the way www.searchenginebootcamp.com.au I don't like how they don't announce who will actually be speaking (unless I missed it)
Thanks for the heads up. Also they did mention a few speakers for the upcoming Search Summit 2007 in Febuary (You’ll not only hear from people like SEOMoz’s Rand Fishkin, KeyRelevance’s Christine Churchill and Alliance Link’s Debra O’Neil Mastaler, you’ll also hear from local masters of the industry), but they didn't mention who will be running their actual bootcamps. Still I'm tempted to go along to just check out what they exactly have to offer.
I just heard about this interesting "informal" Australian SEO conferences that are held randomly around Australia - StealthCon - http://www.stealthcon.com Just thought I would share.
There aren't many SEO-specific conferences in Australia, they tend to be either a pure marketing or web dev event with the SEO session as an afterthought confined to the graveyard shift (Friday after lunch).
What Marketing and Web Development conferences are you talking about - because I'm pretty interested in learning about anything related to the field on online development or marketing in general, hell I might even attend the SEO session after lunch on Friday while everyone else runs off to the pub!
Hey Burta, Try these: http://www.first-rate.com.au/news/events/media_pressreleases_061117.html http://www.searchenginebootcamp.com...tralias-national-search-marketing-conference/ There's also the annual 'web directions' event. HTH (let me know if you're going)
