Okay, I recently set up the site www.todayilold.com - it's using the same script as fmylife.com. As you can see, it's the kind of site that appeals to everyone (well, everyone with any sense of humour at all!). Shortly after setting it up, I went on vacation, having done little to no promotion. I came back to find a 1,800% traffic increase, with stumble upon giving 1,500 unique visitors in one day alone. The site is getting new stories submitted every day by new users. Steady traffic every day. All without spending a cent on promotion! So, I'm about to start promoting. Currently you'll see a 728 x 90 adsense banner on the site. I'm selling this adspace for $20 for one month, which could be at a great disservice to myself as with promotion this site could get very big, very fast. I want to get rid of the ugly adsense and get making the site as big as its potential shows it can be. Check out my reputation on here, or my blog, whatever you want, and you'll see I'm an honest guy who doesn't rip anyone off. I can understand the need to sell ad spaces but i dont see anything wrong with adsense. I use it on fmyceleblife.com and it works just fine. Even the original fmylife site still use adsense.
