Google Started allowing Adsense on Bulk Emails!

GOOGLE Adsense TOS state that one cannot use adsense in Email campaigns.
But There is this very respected multi-million job site who sends me job posting everyday, with a google adsense banner or Link ad unit at the bottom of the email?

Does Google allow adsense in email for certain users or reputed sites?

Only approved publishers are allowed to use adsense in newsletters. Sites like iVillage & most probably the one you mentioned above are approved by adsense & the code they are using is different from that of we use on web pages.

I supposed so, about the premiumublisher, that is. But it was't mentioned in the TOS.. and Newsletters are quite understandable, but this mail was sent by a consultant using this jobsite using the site's email sender.

Interesting... another avenue for getting ads in front of people.

Hear that they have been tightening up regs, perhaps this is a way to make up for some of the shortfall from releasing some adsense accounts.

In addition, you will never know when we are talking about premium publishers.

Some sites are obvious, such as the mentioned iVillage, but others may resemble "big companies" when they are not.

In the doubt, the best could be ask Google.

Can you imagine the implications if EVERYBODY were allowed to place Adsense ads on their emails? The amount of spam would explode to unbelievable proportions!

Google AdSense Running in Email Newsletters

Google AdSense, according to a DigitalPoint thread covered by Barry Schwartz, seems to be letting select publishers serve Google AdSense ads in newsletters and ...

More HERE

Did you saw Adsense ads in newsletters? If Yes in which one?

It could be an interesting opportunity.....

Is the code still JavaScript when in e-mail? I assumed JavaScript didn't work in e-mail.

If not JavaScript, how are the ads made contextual?
