I got accepted to Google Voice today after submitting my application about 2 weeks ago. I'm loving it so far. International rates are pretty nice too. Loving it.
I got my invite yesterday and played around with it a bit. I like the text message feature, and the fact that you can add certain numbers to your SPAM list. I haven't used it to make any calls yet.
Sure, take a look here: http://www.google.com/googlevoice/about.html So far I've added Number to my contacts, played around with calling, etc, and everything works like a charm. Loving it. Plus, I think this may replace Virtual PBX type sites, possibly. The fact that you get a FREE number, and when you call that number, all you have to do is say the person's name you a trying to reach, and it dials for you (Forwards you). I think this will do businesses good as well.
I believe Google Voice offers more countries calling than Skype does, because Skype doesn't offer calls to Pakistan, and Google Voice does. The rates of Google Voice seem more cheaper than Skype.
Yup, it's still there. On this continent we refer to residents of the United States as Americans and residents of Canada as Canadians - am I to assume that the rest of the world calls us all Americans?
Google mentions all over the place how inexpensive international calling is. However, they don't say how much. Does anyone know?
