Indonesia always takes tough stance on these terrorists

In fact, our police force performed quite well, nabbed terrorists only a few months in all previous bombing acts. Some are already executed and many received lifetime sentence.

The masterminds of these bombings are all foreigners, especially malaysians, who recruited locals to do their dirty works.

    really?

christians and non-muslims have relatively peaceful life in Indonesia.

in some cases better than muslims in western countries. Many become governors, ministers, government officials, very rich businessmen, favorite celebs and once an armed forces chief of staffs.

I'm sure on the same day christians, jews, buddhists and hindus all bombed buildings too in the name of and for their god, we just didn't hear about it because of the biased, muslim-hating, zionist-controlled, western media.

Absolutely not, because everytime some nutjobs attacks an abortion clinic worker claiming to do God's work, the media cannot wait to blast it all over the place.
There is no zionist control. If you think you can start your own television channel and keep it non semetic, then go for it.

It depends on the area, you go to remote locations on Indonesia and you are a poor Indonesian, it is very different being a Christian than being a "bule" (Western person) with money living in Jakarta and telling people you are a Christian.

There is no muslim envoloved in that act.

Nothing exploded magically creating everything. This is what happenned. said atheists.

As a muslim, I think such act was done by some people who want to put muslims in problems.

And I think such people who want to put us in problems must be fought by us.

In the name of Islam, I condemn all crimes and criminals and I think their root must be cut off.

Sorry for innocent people who died.

he was a liar. even in aceh province when they run their own syariah laws, they do not bullied or kidnapped or killed non muslim people. but people (muslim and non muslim) must follow their laws.

what remote locations that you refer to?

    how do you know?
    define a muslim.

I find it hard to believe that someone would take his own life to frame another group. When someone committs and act of homi/suicide, the chances of it not being religiously inspired are slim.

do you ever been in aceh? do see for your self or just heard stories?

i was there in 2005 for after tsunami hit aceh, worked with several organizations, domestics and foreigners to help them to rebuild their land.
while i'm there, never heard, see or witness that muslim in aceh bullied or kidnapped non muslim.
some parts of java? yeah right
poso, is a conflict territory between muslim and christian. if you a christian and in muslim territory, than you'll get bullied, but it also vise versa for muslim in christian territory.

please stop talking nonsense about indonesia.

let back to the topic, about the bomb.

Everyone in Aceh and who has been there will tell you that after the Tsunami it was the most peaceful time. Aceh has Sharia law. It means that those who are not Muslims and not interested in living under Muslim law will have a tough time.

You might say if you are a Christian and go there, then it's your own fault and you simply should avoid the area.

No, I have not yet been there, but I have heard a lot of stories.

I am not here to trash Indonesia, but I do not believe that not mentioning where there are issues is going to help the nation. Silence will empower those who do not respect the liberty of others.

How do you feel about the lady in Malaysia getting flogged for drinking a beer?

Do you think that there should be Sharia law travel warnings for those who might get accidentally caught in an area which they are not familiar with?

I believe that the world has a right to know these things.

I will be in Indonesia for some time and I am actually a part of the Indonesia Unite movement.

I have no interest in looking at the bad things, but in order to properly represent Indonesia to the world, the world needs to also understand that there is some serious conflict depending on where you are.

Yes, you can be in the nice part of Jakarta and the tourist spots in Bali and never ever get a taste of it, but what about the poor Indonesian Christians?

Do they have less human rights and religious freedom than I have being in Indonesia?
    Think about that!

Those who cannot respect the rights of others are not likely going to earn the respect from the world.

Again, I am not here to trash Indonesia, but I be damned if I am here and act like the locals who still get flashbacks from Suhartu and are afraid to speak their minds outside their own family and a close circle of 3 or 4 friends.

If Indonesia wants the country to move up, there is a must for Indonesians to fight for the rights of those they disagree with.

Then and only then will Indonesia be respected by the world media.

    The solution is simple:

If you do not trust our media, then start your own. It's a free market world.

You need to be reminded that terrorist bombers are targeting Americans, because they are not likely to give in.

By the way, if you can show me some links to news of Christians in Indonesia attacking Muslims, I would appreciate it as I have in all fairness been looking for something related to that, but could not find anything but even more stories about Muslims attacking Christians:

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=christians+attacking+muslims+in+indonesia&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

Does that have to do with the zionist conspiracy in the media?

You have claimed Christians bully Muslims as much as Muslims bully Christians, so I would appreciate you giving me just a couple of links so I can study Christian anti-Islam violence in your country.

    Thanks!

Also feel free to give me your opinion about this guy:

    http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,25822368-601,00.html

Sure, the guy is not respected by mainstream Indonesia, yet he is allowed to teach 2,000 boys and girls about the really good reasons to commit suicide bombings.

From what I see, this is where the problem in Indonesia lies. People like you who believe that everything is ok as long as everything within your close community is ok.

There has been no real unity which made the country perfect for being taken over by a dictator or being colonized or terrorized.

Maybe you need to expand your horizon a little bit more and rather than claiming that everything is ok, look for what is not right and start working on making Indonesia a safer place where everyone can be secure regardless of religious belief.

I am not interested in putting Indonesia down, just pointing out what I believe Indonesians should focus on.

If you don't want to hear it, that's one thing, but telling me I am wrong ... give me a break!
