why you use yahoo

why you use yahoo search engine when there beheaver is so strange
let me describe

asker asked on answers dot yahoo
"best company to hire for web design"

i suggested
it ll be better if you hire some one individual or team via outsource company and mentioned some webs like elance etc
my answer was reported against TOS by yahoo team

and on same type of question i suggested to use yahoo and with a no vote and no asker pick they declared as best answer and even placed it on yahoo small business also......

i am at level 3 on yahoo answers and i know what there TOS is and my first answer was not against TOS

it means yahoo don't like to hear about any other web

 

I don't use the yahoo search engine. I don't really know anyone that does use the search engine. I use yahoo mostly just for yahoo answers.

 

Google is mainly used these days, use google!

 

I use yahoo since 1995 and at the moment I in rank 2 in yahoo answer. I just started last month and I able to meet a lot of friends and visitor to my blog.

I used both Search Engine-Google and Yahoo, when i am doing searches.
Bing(for my image search, and check the daily Background they have.)
I see good results of searches from Google and yahoo also gives it best

Well i'm using yahoo for just IM.

 

yahoo is used here only for messenger

 

You can't overlook Yahoo as a tool for promoting websites however I agree the results can be a bit 'off' sometimes, I also personally find it very hard to get my website up the rankings in Yahoo

 

I use yahoo only for IM, I don't use it for something else because it's full of ads. Google is number 1 , no ads, simple and very good

 

i never use yahoo. use bing or google

 

I barely use Yahoo as a search engine but I do use them for checking some movies and actors information.

 

well before when google isn't around yet or isn't born yet I use yahoo and altavista. When google is born things went on differently. I rarely use yahoo right now to check my yahoo mail and flickr since flickr is an affiliate of yahoo.

 

I'm goona go around and tell a little tale on this one, i used to use Yahoo back in the day when Google was still being developed into something nice, however as of recent after doing a blind search using all three SE's it turns out the Yahoo is actually progressing alot more then any of the other search engines out there today.

 

I think yahoo is as a search engine used after Google. Google and yahoo both have different algorithm and they both have their own importance. Mainly, google is used all over the world but that is also fact after google yahoo comes next.

 

That could be a point of discussion mostly due to the fact that as of recent Bing has started capturing a large market share, and i'm quite certain of the fact that later on it'll over take Yahoo and if it's worked hard enough upon it'll probably come close to taking down Google as well

 

I've mentioned in other threads before, the fact of the matter is Yahoo is one of the few search engines actually used for searching not just correcting our spelling mistakes

 

The only downpart in my experience while searching through the yahoo search engine is the added spam links in different keywords. Somedays they are fewer some days more. Probably that's why I dont search on yahoo everyday!

 

In my opinion, Yahoo is much more tolerable to commercial activity than Google. Google doesnt allow edecutable attachments even in email.
