Someone said my custom Google Search Engine's colors were "hard on the eyes"...Can you guys take a look at my site and tell me if it's a wrong color choice? And if so, what color(s) would you all suggest? Thank you. Here's my site: http://thedailysearch.com/ Some alternate colors: http://thedailysearch.com/antifreeze.html http://thedailysearch.com/bleach.html
With all the black bands, the white background doesn't look right. I do like the green (antifreeze) color though. Colors that are too strong might pull away users, however, and most sites stick to white for that reason. You might want to try more of a less distinguished shade of color, like Bing's blue background that it can get away with.
I think you maybe right. I just switched the bleach template to Bing's background color. Not too light not too dark. I think it may work. Thanks.
I like the light blue color the best out of the choices you gave, however it does give the site a older look to me. I would suggest a more glossy color that pops on the dull back ground color. for example lighten up the light blue color even more were the color is faint and use a more glosses clear color of your choice to pop your message with out being bold. IMHO Best, Larry
hmmm....tried to add a stretched image background to the bleach template. But the line the video player and chat box are on broke the image in half. :sigh:
That was the best suggestion I could have gotten. Easy to implement and easy on the eyes. Thanks, bro!
