I'm posting this contest for my mother. Below is a description of what she's looking for. She will continue to check the forum daily and send me feedback for the posters. We retain the right to end the contest early if we find a logo we really like before the week is over and we also have the right to choose no logo if we don't feel anyone met our criteria or created a logo we'd like to use. I will have a website, business cards, and marketing materials on which I would like to use this logo. Of course, on the website it will be used as part of a banner. Some background on the ministry: Today's families have so much on their plate, with commonly two working parents, all the normal household management, all the school activities, and then there's sports practices and dance classes, swimming classes, etc. There is simply very little time left for church programs. A great many families bring their children once a week, and some twice a week, but when they walk out the door, God is set aside as the rat race resumes. I am developing a ministry where churches plan and build their own outreach to families, not expecting the families to come to them,but rather, the church reaches out to support the family in new creative ways that really demonstrates that they (the church) and God cares. Families today can use the help but churches keep asking the family to come to the church for this class or that program. "With what time?" they ask. So, the ministry is called "Partnering Parents." I chose that name rather than Parent Partners, because I see this as being a church to parent AND a parent to parent support system. So both the churches and the parents will be "partners." The website will initially have a parents section and a leaders section. So, both those being reached out to and those doing the reaching will have information on this site. The website itself will be one of the main tools we use to support the parents. There will be a great deal of interaction and timely information for them. I would like to offer $50.00 to the one who provides me with the logo I decide to use. I will open this up for 1 week and will give you feedback on designs you present. Some quick ideas for the logo... The text should be "Partnering Parents". Images that could be use would be adult figures (like stick figures or kinda like you'd see on a bathroom) that symbolize a husband and wife partnered and then maybe a link from that partnership to a church/cross graphic. Please ask any questions if you have an idea you'd like to try.
Is there no takers for a pretty easy $50 contest? Or is there something wrong with the contest rules?
Feedback for Rose Media Solutions.... I like the black images because it eliminates any ethnicity. That is good. It looks like the two are very in love and walking along together. I need a bit more of a look that indicates a supporting relationship between adults. The church will be reaching out to help parents, and parents will reach out to each other. Can you give me more of that in some way? Please feel free to post any questions if you have them.
Some thoughts about this logo.... First idea - we are looking for something that suggests a partnership between church and parents as well as parent to parent. Second idea - we are looking for something that shows the the church is supporting, encouraging, and helping families, Third idea - Welcome to a place of nourishment and support. Do these ideas help?
This packs a lot of what I wanted into a simple, fresh, lively logo. That is good. I'd like to see a different font. The logo looks so modern and lively, but the font looks old and staid. I do not want something that makes it difficult to read, just something a bit more fresh and alive. Also, could you show me some different color ideas for the lettering? I'm not against black necessarily, but I'd like to see this with a few other colors. Thank you.

You got the whole family included which is nice. The circle is good too. I'm not too crazy about the traditional men and women figures. They are just too common. Can you do anything about that? Thank you.
Thanks to all who have taken the time to enter a design. You honestly make it difficult to pick a winner. I'm always amazed by the creativity on this website. Sometimes I like to just flip through the contests to see the great submissions. Anyways, the contest is still going strong however in the intro I posted the rules saying that we reserved the right to NOT pick a winer if nothing struck us as a great logo. Well I want to tell you that there WILL DEFINITELY be a winner. We really like what we're seeing so far and we're just waiting to see if any more people are going to join and also see a few changes to the entry's that have been submitted. Graphicsunplug: Fantastic! My mom loves your male female characters and the way you brought the church and parents together. She's really excited to see the letters in a few different fonts and colors. Renderwork: Your logo is really great too however she'd like to see the characters represented by something a little different or original. Side note -When we weren't getting any posts I thought maybe people were having a hard time understanding what we were looking for and I listed some ideas to work off. I talked about the characters on a bathroom door as an example because I couldn't think of any other exapmle. So if I confused you with that sample I'm sorry. First off I understand that it's hard to take a vision from our minds and put it into a designer's mind. The only way is to be as descriptive as possible. And obviously with every feedback we post others get and idea of what we're looking for also. Secondly we understand the time these designers are putting in and the least we can do is show enough respect to give them our time and feedback so they can be given every oppertunity to win. To be able to offer a price that we can afford and then see several options to pick from is really a remarkable format that hard to find. We respect and enjoy this oppertunity! ATT Kiara: The logo has definite possibilities. I like the idea, but I'd like to see a couple of slight changes if possible. The image you used for the couple might make people think it is a marriage seminar type of support. Could you make them a bit smaller and add some children in the circle? Is that possible. We are working with the parents, but the main point is that this is a ministry for parents not couples. Does that make sense? Did I explain it ok? Att_K: Yes, this last one is more like what I would like. The two parents in the foreground with the others in the background is good. I am not sure if the 4 figures were to represent father, mother, and 2 children or not. I'd like to see just children in the background, and maybe 3 instead of 4. Also, could you try a bit of color adjustment just to give me an idea if I'd like it at all? I'm thinking the cross a bit fainter (I want it visible, but it does not need to dominate), and the children in blue. I'm wondering how that would pick up the blue "Parents." This is really good work. Thanks. Graphicsunplug: I'm still hoping to get a revised logo from you. I really liked what you did. Could you please try the font and color change request? Also, could you make the cross a little less dominant? Maybe lighten it up a bit. As I told another, I want the cross to be visible, but it does not need to dominate. Thank you.
