this is a great forum with many smart people but this place is very slow.

I also think its quite lame for a mod to pop in this thread, dismiss the feedback, leave a snide comment, and then lock the thread.

    like here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1379293

fyi, I see no place to donate.

I'm the mod popping in to say this is something we have to live with at this time. Slowness affects all of us.

We use suggestions and feedback area to monitor requests. There are two type of request generally made here, those mods can handle and those beyond our control. This one is beyond our control. We use Suggestion and Feedback area as a to do list queue. When we feel we have done all in our power to help a member we close the thread. See: Sticky Why Did You Close my Suggestions/Feedback Thread?

The past server fund raiser raised $63,172.15 USD toward new server which cost $85,043.84 USD. See: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/donate.html. When Shawn is ready to update again, I do hope members will be as generous as they were in the past.

When people start demanding new servers "immediately" for a resource they get to take advantage of for FREE, a snide remark is far more than they deserved in the first place.
