Strange Result using "Google" as keyword

Try searching on Yahoo using the keyword Google - without quotes and see if the results are similar to what I see.

A 301 site of a Gemologist.

Ya, but the result shows 554,000,000 pages and the keyword very is competitive. How in the world could they rise to that level just by 301.

Actually im not sure if they did a 301 - just a guess.

I am only seeing it for about 1 out of every 3 queries...

Barry Schwartz of the Search Engine Roundtable mentioned that it is done using a 302 rather than a 301...

But still, how could that description float to the top instead of Google's own definition? Wouldn't the non-302'd description take precedence over the one via the 302?

What does this mean? While I don't doubt that this was accidental, can the average person just steal a result like that by 302'ing a domain to point to another well-known domain?

Thoughts anyone?
