Hi again. This is a new contest for a rodeo website. Thanks to all who applied for my previous contest for a marketing template. This time around I can be much more specific about what I need. This is going to be half-rodeo and half-store. The homepage only needs to feature several products that I will be highlighting (I don't like homepages that are cluttered with store products). I will create my own sub-pages later for the real store so don't worry about that. The products will be rodeo-themed such as hats or t-shirts, etc. I like the rustic black and white pictures of cowboys and western-related topics like that. If you can incorporate that and not center the design around a black and white layout, that'd be great! I really enjoy good cowboy photography so stock photography would do well. Here's what I liked from TM: 1 - take a look at http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/10578.html * I really like the colors * I like the photography and textures * Layout is nice * Just has a good feel to it 2 - http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/6641.html * Like the picture and the colors - Feels a bit too busy for what I want This contest will end when I feel satisfied with a design. Thanks everyone for looking. I'll let everyone who wants to participate to do so, there is no rush.
I don't usually do these, but I might give it a shot because I'm a cowgirl from years ago LOL Thanks for the cool contest!
If anyone else is interested let me know either by PM or via replying to this thread, so I know not to just go to a web design company directly for my needs. As long as a few more are interested I'll refrain from doing so. Congratulations to willhaynes for winning my previous competition for $250!
torrentfluxmaster - Not sure if I liked the colors. take a look at the TM templates I liked to see what kind of colors I liked. timeeh - This seems closer to what I want, but it seems like it would be unprofessional and not organized enough.
Done. Hope you like it. http://i42.tinypic.com/6gwmc7.png Note: The stocks are from istockphoto. If I win this contest they will be paid for, otherwise will not be used.
torrentflux- Still seems like the entire layout is more geared towards Easter than a rodeo. jeezy17 - The stock photo is really nice. Good find. The layout itself seems like it would be hard to navigate.
Hmmm. Thanks for the feedback! Though can you please be more specific in regards to the layout and what you don't like about it. Edit: New version with revisions. http://i40.tinypic.com/sgr1ip.png
Here is my entry! Click for larger preview, I made a quick "inner page" while I was at it Thanks! -Will
Jeezy17 (#1) - Too dark I think. The colors of the product area don't blend well. willhaynes - I am overjoyed you have decided to help out. I like your design a lot, but I'll need something a bit more professional. This one seems more like a blog. The focus is going to be put on live rodeo events, but also have about 20-30% focus on a web store perhaps (depending on what you come up with). Some URLs I really liked: http://www.renorodeo.com/ (awesome attention to detail) http://www.pbrnow.com/ (I liked the side images, level of professionalism. The logo. Overall it's too busy I think, and would do better with some simplification and a bit of store elements built in) Actual stores: http://www.fortwestern.com/store/ (This is fantastic. Too busy, but if this was rearranged it'd be perfect. Great colors and design.) I'm not trying to be too picky on purpose, please forgive me. If I find any further URLs I liked I'll let you guys know.
