I’m looking to have a chart designed for a financial site. Prize: $25 to winner via Paypal – there may be 2 and both will be paid $25 Contest end Date: Monday 8th January 24:00 GMT The chart will showing the price of a certain commodity. Sites with great charts are: www.24hgold.com & www.financialcontent.com So please visit these sites and use them for inspiration. I would like the charts to look better than theirs – possibly a combination of them both – but around the same size. Also the site should have the name: OilPrice.Com - like on the above sites charts - but nice and subtle. You realise their charts are probably generated on a script? Rendering a design alone useless... Unless you're willing to redesign the chart every morning yourself, use new data and post the edited chart on your webpage... Atleast once a day? Which is a hell of alot of work.
I have streaming dada from the exchange - so it won't be a problem to update. What i'm looking for is just an idea of how i'd like the chart to look like - then my developer can get to work. Twodayslate – Thanks for having the first crack at this. I like the colours, but it’s a bit big and also a little plain. Still it’s a pretty interesting design. Icey011 – All you have to do is create a chart – you can just use: abcd – 1234 (on the horizontal and vertical axis) – very simple – I’m just after a look – don’t worry about the data.
Hi Guys, thanks for your entries – and apologies for the late feedback – only just restored internet connection. Okay here’s some feedback: Onlyfights – that really is a very nice clean design – it’s missing something though and I’m struggling to put my finger on it. Outrage – they are very nice colours – I’d like to see oilprice.com in a different position though. Stardesigns99 – thanks for the entry, sadly it’s not what I’m after. Baker – Simple and professional looking design. It wasn’t a direction I was thinking of initially – but I’ll need to think about it some more. Craftiness – I like what you have done with the logo – looks very nice – can you try some different colours with the chart though . Surenther – Also an interesting design – I’ll have to think about it a little more – but I’m not too keen on the colours. Aderain – They look very good – nice professional design and good colours – not sure what else to advise – can you try and apply the same principles as on 24hgold.com – and just do a line graph? Aderain is just in the lead so far – I look forward to seeing other designs.
