Paypal comes with a buyer protection policy, which gives you 60 days from the point of purchase, where you can request a refund whether the seller agrees with it or not. If you do this, the money is immediately removed from the sellers account and given back to you. Seeing as how we're a verified Paypal business since 2001, and a legal business entity, registered with Corporations Canada, and our postal mailing addresses are available to our customers as well... This leaves me wondering, why am I not hesitant to start work for somebody who hasn't paid already, as it costs a lot of time and money chasing after people you've already done work for. It's not like re-roofing a house, where I can just apply for a lien and know that I'll get my money. What's there to ensure you pay for the service if I perform it? I can't request a refund for my services from anyone, we haven't mastered time travel yet. $75 is pocket change in the world of online business, but you definitely still need to be smart with your choices.
