    Well Online nowadays Many competitors consider as your enemy and sometimes do things like ddos attacks to take down the site it could be also in form of other enmity like banning the person from the site etc

    So i have a solution for you guys which to some extent can help you from ddos attacks

    Install DDOS Deflate By http://deflate.medialayer.com/

    Installation Is Easy

    Just Do 

    wget http://www.inetbase.com/scripts/ddos/install.sh
chmod 0700 install.sh
./install.sh

    But do remember Mod_deflate help to a certain extent. To counter bigger DDOS attacks you need hardware proxy + tunneling

    Hi great contribution, is this solution only for VPS or does it work on a Normal Server ( Dedicated Server ) ?

    I don't have a Web Hosting Server with Cpanel or any Control Panel, do you know if this solution closes any ports ?

    I currently have some services running and don't want to miss them up by installing this script, please advice thank you.

    Yes it will work on dedicated server also.. and doesnt depend on what control panel you have basically this checks how many connections an ip is making if its making many (in case of ddos) it will ban it from the server temporary
