12 hour old site, 111 visitors

Hey all,

I am over the moon yesterday i created a new site (still not 24 hours old) to my shock i checked my stats before and 111 visitors all from google its a game related niche that's all i can say for now so please don't ask for the url.

What i don't understand is the competition is quite high, my team had great success with a similar website, but the extension is quite weak (mysite.TV) anyways just sharing a success story, i know after reading others stories it inspired me.

111 visitors in 12 hours is really cool. How did you get them? Were they direct visitors or did you get the visitors from social bookmarks like stumbleupon?

Congratulation. Please give feedback every week at least once, to see if Google will let you go on with this achievement. Did you buy a brand new domain or an old domain?

seems u got good rank in competitive keyword

 

For 24 hours google even cannot index your site usually. May be you created also good backlinks

 

Are you sure it's not some competitor or maybe your partner who decided to type in the address in google and then followed the link?
Anyway, under 24 hours is something amazing. Probably that's the first time I've heard about anything like this.

 

New websites often get a temporary 'free pass' and get rankings much easier than they should hav had otherwise. But after some time they suddenly lose all of those rankings and gets thrown back in the rankings.

You likely just need to work at building a lot more quality backlinks. It may also help to keep adding more unique content

And no its a very common game, I worked my ass off last time around from the 31st page to get to the first page on google, this time around i was shocked to see how much traffic from google directly, i didnt' think my site would be indexed for at least days yet alone a few hours... Got my hopes up, i stupidly sold my last site for 4k and wishing i didn't as a redirect right now would be great! anyway keyword research and domain with the main keyword in the domain has shown it's powers.

I think i got lucky in terms of being indexed... i hadn't submitted one link.. i think more of the case of luck of the draw, now getting msn / live traffic and yahoo & google traffic, but its a great staring block to build from.

I and a few other DP members are about to launch our new Web design site/company and this will come in as a great testimonial.

PS not bragging at all!!!!!!!!! reading through DP for weeks before i attempted a site taught me a lot, and many success stories made me work harder that i thought i was capable of, so only reason for posting was hopefully to inspire others, its a rough game at times, but hard work and persistence's pays off.
