Hi Guyz,I Have been searching for the exact answer for this question for a quite long. I read so many articles in Ezine,Hubpages etc... on this Topic. Well, I was able to get quite convincing answers but yet they were not soo convincing. Some say Yes and some say No to this question.

If Yes, Google allows Duplicate content?.

Some experts from Ezine say No, Then why are these article submission services are making buzz in the market?

I heard of DP and I came to know that DP is the place where experienced SEO webmaster and Google Engineers reside through some websites .So Obviously this question is for them, I need an answer in Yes or No. If Yes, Why? and if No, Why? Guys please don't make the thread contradictory and ambiguous. The answer should be direct and factual with proofs.

    Thank you.
    Waiting for your interesting answers

Google ignores duplicate content. That's a fact.

What you can do is 'spin' your article and then submit the variations to as many directories you like. Spinning alters articles sufficiently to bypass Google's duplicate content filter. Try a free on here:

    definitely NOT: it's duplicate content; create different versions of the article and submit them;

@edgray: thanks for the tool -

Then Why are these article submission services are still available in the market? there must be some strong point which is not allowing the article submitters to quit the market. Our foolishness may be one reason.

I guess I should manually spin the article which is really an a** pain.If I spin the article through the link which you have provided would be considered under automated content I guess, Which Google never encourages.

    So any alternatives ?????

You can do it, but a duplicated article in lots of directories will not help you. It's better to submit an unique article or at least a modified article with the same information and different words. You want your content to be as unique as possible, to don't compete in search engines with yourself.

You can submit the same article to numerous article site. Google will only get 1 of these sites to be indexed and the rest will be ignored. So why submit then to numerous article directories? Traffic.

    Hello Naiel,

If you talk about Google, then all the above replies are correct. On the other hand, if you talk about Yahoo! and MSN, submitting your single article to multiple directories will definitely help you because it will help you to get lot of backlinks.

I hope now your doubt is clear.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Naiel,
I appreciate that you are a little confounded by all the contradictory and ambiguous responses. You have heard of article spinning I take it, which can approach black hat land. If you spin your article to such a degree that it doesnt flash duplicate content, I guess thats safe. But sending the same article to different repositeries is questonable. The truth IS contradictory and ambiguous I am afraid, in this instance, you are not going to get an unassailable answer,

article for link building is good, but if you post duplicate to different directories, then it is bad. I mean article directories will ban you first. Google will not care about you. By the way there is copyscape.com you know.

I have seen many good results by posting articles in different article directories and blogs..

I would suggest if you populate to 50-100 sites then there is no problem what so ever.. but if you got beyond 100 and just continue to populate same article in 1000 sites then defo you site will have negative effect.

    Hello,

I guess there isnt any harm in submitting the same article to number of directories.
We have a better option too. If you can submit spinned articles then its efficacious than former.

    regards

I had the same question for quite some time...
I think submitting the same article to about 10 directories is ok, but if you start posting the same article all over the internet then... watch out.
Can you imagine different commercial everytime you you see it? I don't think so... the same goes for articles... just don't over do it.

    \Thanks for sharing

Well Guys,I Thank you all for spending your valuable time in posting much appreciated feedbacks.
Finally I came to a conclusion that,If you really understand the terms of GOOGLE then submitting a same article to multiple directories is really worthless and would be foolish thing to do, and may be helpful in gathering worthless backlinks. As unique content is the King of SEO , I recommend spinning the article manually and then submitting it to top most directories is the best way to get indexed in SERP's.

Some don't agree with my answer as they have been doing this for a quite long time.
Well I have a better solution for the Guy's who go With "YES". The solution is blog commenting and it is a better way than article submission for driving traffic The blog may be a dofollow, nofollow, high Pr or Low Pr just submit your anchor text Obviously you'll find good traffic and good number of back links and SERP's

So I finally don't agree to submit the same article to mulitple directories and my answer is 'NO'

If you have any better ideas to drive traffic you can share with us.
    Thank you.
