I'm looking at my site MatchTales It is a small low-ranking site, but I have hopes for it and made it the master account. It fell from the heighty weight of 7 to 0. I guess this means it is validated This was the first site I put co-op links on and I only put them in the phpBB forum, making the account url www.shelbylandscaping.com/forum I'm fairly sure this is acceptable but not encouraged...and I hadn't figured out yet how to ad the links to the static html pages. Looking to see if I may have done something wrong I noticed a banner ad I had mistakenly used the url of the main page instead of the forum. Would this trigger a block? I changed the url to the forum just in case this was the problem. Other than the 0 weight, this master site also seems unable to receive weight from consolidation. I know how to make the links site wide now also and will make that change as well.
Are you sure it is a block? Did the # of pages cached simply drop? Check the Google API first -- I have a site that oscillates between 1 page and 0 in the API, and thus goes between 7 and 0 with the weight. Cygnus
It could be google I guess. I just look at googles page rank and it showed page rank 0 even when there was a weight of 7 ...I've checked with a couple tools. If the google page rank had caused the drop to zero would that prevent receiving wieght through consolidation? Oh well...I've got the links site wide and the ranking will get better.
Get an API key and check your URL here: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/ If it is 0, then your weight will be 0; if it is 1, then your weight will be 7 -- not pagerank, # of cached pages in Google.
depends on what keywords checking there....zero for common ones...8 for the company name...which is down by 1...so maybe that is it?
oh, ok..I see in the checking back links selection it shows the page rank...zero hadn't checked here before so I don't know if it dropped here.
Thats a handy tool! I only gave it quick look when I first came here. I'll be checking that everyday now!
