Let's face it, it looks terrible on every website I have to see my ads 1px and a space aside from the layout...

Are ad impressions that important? With Firefox or Opera you will not even see that 1px image, so how accurate are those stats?

I mean, why the hell should we have this piece of code...
    Bush Computer Desks</a> <img src="http://ads.digitalpoint.com/t-33198-26066-24664-28702-20996.gif" width="1" height="1">
    Code (markup):
Couldn't this be made in a server-side style? I don't know, instead of a 1x1 image that mess with some coop users layouts we could have the php script saying that those ads were selected don't we?

For the record, Firefox and Opera users do record impressions.

Do you have an example of a page where it looks "terrible" and is messing up your formatting?

    Sure... www.sprinttotal.com and tvseries.eduardomaio.net

So, if Firefox and Opera users do record impressions why dont we see the 1x1 pixel image and that space between the image and the ads? Couldn't this be made for the other browsers too?

Well, the text is not aligned... As I mentioned before, it only happens in IE, as in Opera and Firefox the 1x1 image doesn't appear!

Maybe it's the space between the last ad and the image. Try taking it out... I took it out of the setup instructions just now.

Much better... 1px isn't visible at all... Also, Shawn, why does the image gets printed in Internet Explorer, not in Opera or Firefox?

Because IE sucks... just kidding. :) Not sure... I haven't seen it show in IE. You have a screenshot of that by chance?

The image you see there is in IE... At Opera I don't see those 1x1 images or anything like that... It doesn't even appear on the source code...

    Btw, IE really sucks! LOL!

Why are there 1px x 1px images? I just installed the new version of the co-op system, and I don't have these images in my page.

Why do we need ad impressions? I already know that the CTR is terrible.

Because people asked for them, there was a thread on it and it had many positive responses. not EVERYONE is going to want EVERYTHING, but enough people expressed interest in knowing. We also get a lot of 'how do i know my ad is being shown' question, which this will answer.

You are right... if Shawn changes the coop login page to a blue background, we will soon have loads of people comming here and saying "why blue? Why not red?"

It works fine for me... and I've been in the network since the beginning more or less... gone through pretty much every update. Just use a little code to make it look the way you want.

I could be mistaken but I believe it was talked about in the original thread about the update. It was a long thread though, so I could be wrong.

We're literally splitting hairs here, just adapt to the layout and move on as you can't please everybody.

If you're worrying about the alignment of right justified text, wouldn't a simple solution be to add in a 1 pixel image at the end of those other two lines?

It's 1 pixel, after all... that's pretty damn tiny.
