Google Directory

    Hi all,

    Anyone have any idea what the deal is when there is a site listed in the G directory at the bottom of the page, when the site has PR, but does not have it indicated on the directory page. For example see this. Look at the bottom of the page.

    the directory isnt a top priority of google- a lot of links are like this.

    yeah, the directory is always way, way behind.

    It was updated at the beginning of last month for the first time since January. And I suspect that they used an old feed from DMOZ to do it.

    perhaps new listings were added, but it wasn't updated completely. our PR in the directory still shows as a 3, and that's at least 6 months old (we're a 5/6 now).

    From what I can gather, the Google Directory recently DID get an update from ODP/dmoz that was less than a month old - note that a PR/BL update is currently going on, so I'd check back in a day or so when things are stable and maybe you'll see what you are looking for.

    Wow Some very old threads. Just read alot of threads from this forum that's very old. VERY VERY OLD.

    But good information on directories might I add!
