Maybe you have made some changes to your on-page optimization. Or that you may have dropped some pages.

I check every hour the rankings for some keywords and every time I find different sites.
I think something has been changed

Actually it's easier to rank higher in Yahoo than in google, the problem that if you mess up once they can ban your site for a year and then you have a real problem!

Yahoo has changed something. In the past few days, one of my sites has been de-indexed by approximately 1000 pages. This was slightly MFA type so may have been penalised.

Another site which is all good, unique content, no "search engine optimised" coding has been completely indexed for the first time. I have made some yahoo searches that I've seen bring bad pages in the search results but now am getting pretty much all related and good content.

So yep, I'd say yes that they changed their algorithm.

IMO, yahoo seems to be the hardest to figure out. It's annoying.

It definitely changed last week. I noticed it on Thursday, and results have been changing everday since then. My site moved up to #1 from #5. The results below are different eveytime I check. One site moved from #25 to #3 for a while, then fell off the map again.

I agree seem's that they are implementing new algo... all my sites rank well for the past 1 year and now most of them drop from rank #1 to rank 40 I guess.

I have been getting strange hits from yahoo slurp to pages that never existed
and from that moment my indexed pages changed and I dropped from page one to page 3.

Yahoo slurp sends various bogus page requests to see if auto content is generated. It helps it identify websites that create content "on the fly", ie spammy type pages. While your website appears not have been one of these (as you're on page 3), you have been caught by the change in the search algorithm.
