You can disable it via your account control panel.

Some sites perform better without it if people are bidding lower to advertise on the site.

Presumably to increase CTR by decreasing as blindness.

Note: It can take up to 48 hours for your AdSense ads to update. There is no need to regenerate your AdSense code.

I'm sure I read somewhere on DP that it also has a negative affect on some revenues but I can't remember where I read it or what the reasoning was. Can anyone shed any light?

Ive removed it from my sites because i feel that $0.35 cents per 1000 impressions is a waste of my time & money. i would rather have the chance of a $1.00 click for every 1000 impressions.

For me it just makes business sense. On the other hand... I love advertising on sites that still allow the "Advertise on this site" link. I have always been able to find 1000 impressions for under $0.45 on some major sites in my local area.

My reasoning is that if a site that is 100x the size of mine can only get 45-50 cents per 1000 impressions, then my rate would have to be worse.

I took it off because it was annoying and didn't blend well with the rest of my sites.

Now presumably you can't pick and choose which of your sites you disable/enable, right?

I think I'm with infonote on this one. Will disable until the traffic is enough to warrant CPM

I leave it there to be honest, the more people I can get bidding to my site the better, the stakes will then be higher :D

Some people see a change in the amount of clicks after it. Just a way of experimenting I guess.
