Wordpress - setting up a blog to a different page

Having a complete brainfart here.... I know its simple as I have done it before (and I am far from technically minded) but I can't seem to manage it now.

I have set 'page' as the main home page and I am looking to have the blog rung off XXXXXXX.com/blog - I have entered that option into the blog address bar in general settings but that is nt enough, it is not creating a page at the xxxxxx.com/blog that I am looking for, nor can I find out how to do so manually to have all the posts display at xxxxxx.com/blog

    can anyone help?

I think if you post in Wordpress forum you can give your reply faster.

I think you need to have to have Wordpress installed in the /blog folder. Otherwise you can just create blog posts and not worry that it is in the /blog folder.

Totally don't understand what you are asking.

You must have installed into the /blog folder or you couldn't even log on.

If you want something specific to appear on the STATIC page that you have set then you need to edit that page. Writing a post will not put the content on the page.

    PAGE and POST are different.

Thats what I think you are doing. So you'll need to cut the text from the POST and paste it into the PAGE
